Police in Christopher Dorner standoff launched incendiary tear gas into cabin

By CHUCK BENNETT and DAVID K. LI From Post Wires Last Updated: 6:14 AM, February 14, 2013

Murderous ex-cop Christopher Jordan Dorner wanted to go out in a blaze of glory — and the sheriff’s deputies who surrounded his California mountain hideout provided the flames.

The San Bernardino County cops torched the wooden cabin with highly flammable “incendiary tear gas” as Dorner took refuge Tuesday, apparently burning him to a crisp.

“Burn this mf--er!” one officer shouted as they had Dorner — who had earlier killed a deputy and seriously wounded another — pinned down in the cabin, according to police radio transmissions.

Amid sounds of gunfire, voices can be head shouting, “Burn it down!” and “Shoot the gas!”

What financial threshold justifies murder under the color of authority?

What murder under the color of authority are you referring to?

The surfer dude and the newspaper delivery chicks were not, and had not ever shot at police

I had already addressed that previously. Different department as far as I know. Officers should be fired and held criminally and financially responsible for their actions.

The excuse?

There isn't any. The LAPD should be ashamed of their recruit and training standards. But then compare it to the posts on this subject to see the overall moral decline in the country.

they murdered their intended target

Your hypocrisy is mind numbing. Where is that due process you've been trumpeting. You really ran off the rails. You're hopeless.

What part of “It doesn’t apply to Dorner” did you fail to understand?

This thread is all about Dorner, fugitve/suspected murderer who had ample time over 6 days to surrender peacefully for due process and he refused.

Wow. You really do have comprehension problems.

I had already addressed that previously. Different department as far as I know. Officers should be fired and held criminally and financially responsible for their actions.

Yes you did. Yes they should. Bet they won't.

Your hypocrisy is mind numbing. Where is that due process you've been trumpeting. You really ran off the rails. You're hopeless.

I suppose so. I'm about ready to give up hope on you.

How long are they required to wait? How many man hours do you require to be wasted? How many hours of helicopter and pilot time? First responder standby time? Can you provide a breakdown for us?

I suppose I am doomed to keep asking until you answer this simple question:

What financial threshold justifies murder under the color of authority?

You really do have comprehension problems.

You have problems with explanation and hypocrisy. Ask and I'll do what I can to assist you in improving.

He was a bad guy. But I don’t want cops getting away with murder, either.

As to Dorner? The only nice thing I can say is they murdered their intended target,

This seems like the leftist have just stormed this place. Murdered the murderer? lol...Too funny..

Ya think this was going to end differentially when the murdered himself came out and said he would not be taken alive and basically declared war on the cops?

Ya think you'd be singing the same tune if Dorner had walked up and put 4 rounds into your unsuspecting young daughters face and chest while doing the same thing to her fiance?

No, your tune would be quit different...

I'm still waiting for your answers to mine. " How long are they required to wait? How many man hours do you require to be wasted? How many hours of helicopter and pilot time? First responder standby time? Can you provide a breakdown for us? "

What's the delay?

OK, please tell me sir, how I can get you to answer as to what your threshold is for unbridled police violence? Is there a number of man hours after which a suspect can be killed outright? Is the interval longer if there is no helicopter? Is it zero if the police think the person in the truck in front of them might be the same one who shot a cop yesterday? If someone closes a door, is that prima facie evidence of guilt or should they still have a trial? Is there a first responder threshold time or is pre-planned incineration always the appropriate Plan A? If not, when should they waste more time on negotiation, arrest and trial?

Yep. But no one has the expectation that I would act professionally. I have sworn no oath to uphold the law of the land, nor am I being paid to uphold the law.

Even then given any chance I would far prefer that the murderous bastard be tried, convicted and die on death row.

What term exactly would you use to describe it if I pre-planned with a bunch of colleagues, burning down a house with the explicit intent to kill someone inside without giving any quarter or chance of arrest?

Would the term be different if I were a cop? A soldier?

Why?

I repeat;

I'm still waiting for your answers to mine. " How long are they required to wait? How many man hours do you require to be wasted? How many hours of helicopter and pilot time? First responder standby time? Can you provide a breakdown for us? "

What's the delay?

I've asked the questions, I'm looking for answers. Do you have them or don't you?

The multiple murderer broadcasted to the world he wouldn't be taken alive and would take out as many cops as he possibly could and continued making good on his own statements during the shootout in the Big Bear area, and continued killing people....

While the shootout was on going they lobe in gas in an effort to force the murderer to come out to end it. The place catches fire and burns.

What kind of ending were you looking for?

In America it’s innocent until proven guilty. We have any proof that he wrote the manifesto or killed the first three people? If I had an entire police department after me I’d go Rambo too.

They are required to attempt to arrest and bring to trial a suspect, no matter the crime, no matter how convinced they themselves are of the suspect's guilt.

That you refer to an attempt at a peaceful resolution as wasted speaks volumes.

They didn't try for a peaceful resolution, they never tried for an arrest, their first thought was kill on sight, or even if you don't actually see him shoot anyone in a truck that you think might possibly be him.

It's clear from what I have heard on the tapes with mine own ears, and what I have been told by a FReeper who listened live (and I acknowledge that is a limited picture of the scene) the shooting had stopped by the time the SWAT team showed up and promptly set it ablaze without any attempt at contact, verifying there were no hostages or any other less lethal action.

At that point they knew he was wounded due to the visible blood splatter they observed when they pried open the front door.

No attempt to negotiate, straight to KILL KILL KILL BURN HIM BURN HIM!!!

Not even a count of five to come out with your hands up.

I don't know the lower threshold of time, but it isn't zero. I don't know the upper threshold of time, successful negotiations can take hours or in rare cases days.

They didn't even give him a count of five ultimatum, let alone any negotiation.

Flat out instant application of lethal force.

Judge, jury, executioner and crematorium operator in one handy hair-trigger package.

Maybe having that as the gold standard for police conduct comforts you, but it scares the bejeebers out of me.

There ya have it...There is no proof of anything and Dorner might very well be innocent...All this was perpetrated by some unknown mystery man...

Oh yeah...I'm getting the monkey movie feeling again...It's a mad house!

I give your post a 3 on the hooking hoot scale.

Cops killing one innocent is one too many. This guy was not going to be taken alive. There are lots of these incidents with cops killing people maybe in your area it’s not on the news. Sean Bell ring any bells? Killed on his wedding day in NYC. Cops found not guilty. Amadou Diallo, hit 19 times, unarmed, cops not guilty.

Just look at how the cops dress nowadays. They look just like military soldiers. They were running around with their tails between their legs and Dorner was not even a special forces type.
