Audio of gunfight from earlier and video of Dorner during what appears to be LAPD firearms training. KNX 1070 played it and claimed it was the real thing.
You can hear (what certainly sounded like) one of the cops yelling "YOU! Come over here!" The command was given more than once.
I had the impression he was yelling at Evans.
I heard no sounds of microphone movement after these words were heard.

Maybe FOX should pre-empt Obama’s speech with live coverage, complete with helicopters and Shepherd Smith.

If this guy was in the cabin will Obama take credit tonight? Dorner was an Obama supporter. Now he is a crispy critter.

The cabin he was supposed to be in, is now on fire.
They aren’t even sure if the animal is inside.

How did this reporter get on scene so fast when all of Southern California’s LE are looking for Dorner and couldn’t find him? Maybe he was listening to Police scanner and decided to show up for the breaking story?
Not terribly bright of him. But he’s blessed to be alive.

I’m praying for this guy’s conscience sake that he didn’t end up being embedded and distract those officers. One of them died and the other is in critical condition. Prayers...

Maybe they can duck-tape Shep to the bottom of the helicopter I'd be happy if they'd duck-tape Schlepper to a chair and then duck-tape his mouth shut.

You got that right! Obama doesn’t want any one to rain on his parade even he looks like his son.

The news is a little confusing. Do you know if this happened at the original cabin where the women were being held?

Evans, from KCAL/KCBS, was on the scene when this story broke around 12:20, he was probably on assignment up there since last week. If you listen to KFI or KNX when they replay Evans’ report you can hear the police yelling at Evans during the initial shoot out. Right after the shootout was when they closed roads and grounded the news helos, thus why all other reporters are shown broadcasting from the side of the road on hwy 38

Heaven forbid Bambi’s ratings are lowered. I can’t watch him. Just can’t do it. Wake me when it’s over.

They played it when they picked up their live broadcast after the 3:00 (California time) top-of-the-hour news and weather, so it would have been at 3:10 or so.
They said in their intro that their reporter Carter Evens was "right in the thick of it" and that he had a cell phone which he put in speaker mode "so we could all hear" what happened.
Then they played a recording of that audio. If memory serves, they bleeped out one or two words, which may have been profanity.
I interpreted the phrase "in the thick of it" to mean he was at the scene, perhaps between the LEOs and Dorner's location.
I only heard the recording once.
If Evans was close enough to cause a tactical complication - as someone mentioned above - I wouldn't be surprised if that's the only time they play that particular recording.
