Three-mile long line of vehicles coming off the mountain - each vehicle is being searched at the bottom of the hill. Stopping cars several hundred feet ahead of the checkpoint then one at a time move forward to be searched. In the other direction going up the mountain several swat vehicles seen with lights and sirens.

If it’s true that someone escaped and made a phone call.....that someone should be 1,000,000 dollars richer tomorrow.

Given who the police have shot up already looking for him, perhaps a couple newspaper delivery people armed themselves, afraid for their own lives.

Damn I just heard one of the officers he shot today has passed away..I want this son of a bitch’s head on a platter..no negotiations, just kill him and the sooner the better before anyone else dies.
Yesterday I had heard reports his passport was found in San Ysidro, near the US/Mexico border so I thought maybe he might be headed there..or was somewhere in the San Diego area..never thought for a second he was still in Big Bear
To: dragnet2
If his background training is both accurate and not overblown, his skills are better than most officers.

I think that was the situation earlier. The woman that owns the cabin said that there isnt cable or Internet. He has no way to communicate even if he wanted to. I doubt that he would hurt anyone not associated with law enforcement. He had the opportunity and didnt.Well, you make a good point, but we don't know the condition of his hostages and isn't it likely he has a radio and cell phone?

Yes. If he had made it all the way to Redlands, probably would have just dissapeared in the crowds.

“What then?”
That depends how prepared Dorner is. Driving a vehicle where he has 100% chance of running into a road block obviously won’t do. But they’ll likely catch him some time soon - within 24 hours or so.
To: Sarah Barracuda
Right on both counts. KTLA reported the death of the officer.
So sad.

I doubt he has any “fans” that would be willing to give their lives to protect him. Shooting out of that cabin could prove ill advised.

The Dorner story has everyone glued to the TV. So, these people will be in front of the TV when the SOTU starts.
