BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. All that was left were footprints leading away from Christopher Dorner's burned-out pickup truck, and an enormous, snow-covered mountain where he could be hiding among the skiers, hundreds of cabins and dense woods.
More than 100 officers, including SWAT teams, were driven in glass-enclosed snow machines and armored personnel carriers to hunt for the former Los Angeles police officer suspected of going on a deadly rampage to get back at those he blamed for ending his police career.

Yeah, it is. He’s essentially declared war on the LAPD, and in his book, family members of the people who’ve angered him aren’t considered non-combatants. He’s already proved that.
And if it were a conservative fugitive you would wish that also? Is that the kind of world you wish to live in?
Wait a minute, you were wearing what now?
I believe his plea to the court of appeals ran out sometime in 2011 after several years of fighting to get his job back. He’s had quite some time to plan for this.
After he hit the couple, time goes by and he shoots n scoots guerrilla fashion 2 different groups of police same day, taking advantage of element of surprise before the lockdown.
My opinion? His trek to San Diego “attempting” to grab a boat and his burned vehicle left 150 miles away are to spread out law enforcement resources. He’s back in L.A. hiding in the urban jungle. He’s waging an effective psy-ops and terror war. I read 40 police or so protecting each individual listed in his manifesto, so how many police guarding the family members? He’ll probably wait it out for some time with supplies stored, watch as the LAPD showcase violating people’s rights and shoot at innocents. Then strike at police support personal at their homes. Besides the .50 cal Barrett which is formidable, I believe he has sound suppressors? He probably has some explosives as well like homemade IED’s perhaps, several vehicles bought cash stashed in overnight lots.
He probably had a motorcycle staged for his departure from Big Bear and is probably in the desert now. Plenty of desert to get lost in. He’ll wait a couple weeks or until his food/water supply runs out then come back to the city, unrecognized by anyone as he will be wearing a motorcycle helmet.
I think that it will end in this manner, but I'm not sure that this will be next. I think he will kill some more officers in a "random" hit. As officers close in on him, I think he will draw them into an ambush situation and try to take as many with him as he can.
he’s a cold-blooded murderer.
Nobody said to kill him because he praised Obama in his manifesto.
“...the question becomes how long can US Vets, “survivalists” & “prepper” and other determined 2nd Amendment Patriots, last...”
A lonnnngggggg frickin’ time.
I agree with your assessment. I would add that what he might also do is pop up from time to time with a random cop shooting as part of his “asymmetric warfare” campaign.
I mentioned on another thread regarding the subject that he might also have multiple ID’s. It’s not that hard to get them in L.A., especially on Alvorado near MacArthur Park, and the quality is damned good. I used to live around there for awhile in the late 90s, and you get all set up for about $500.
He was a cop - I’m pretty sure he’d know about this angle.
An LAPD Lt. selected to represent an Officer (Dorner) with his claim against the LAPD.. Talk about foregone conclusion! What a joke.
No.
This is what happened to a couple ladies last time the even though they had him:
They want him dead, dead, dead, dead.
They are in for a long hunt.
Yep. He's in Oakland, I bet.
Growing up I was proud of our country. I felt bad for people who lived in countries with government controlled media and thug controlled police departments.
We just take for granted that police will assassinate someone they’re after.
this guy seemed to be prepared. He could be on a ship or in the mountains or the desert or almost anywhere by now
Wouldn’t surprise me. He’s got quite a tactical advantage right now, provided he is indeed gone from the Big Bear area.
Sure, we all know what he looks like.
But if he’s in a car, no one knows what he’s driving.
Unless LAPD gets really lucky they're going to have some casualties.
bump
