You have no Second Amendment right for hunting or sport.
You have a Second Amendment right (AND OBLIGATION) to be part of the Militia, to defend the People.

"We respect the Second Amendment right of law-abiding citizens to have guns for hunting, for sport..."

The second amendment is not about hunting or sporting. It's about this right here! It's about these non-representing representatives and other agents of and within government who think it lies within the scope of thier powers to tyrannize the citizens of this republic.

Haynes v. U.S. (1968) Need to remind the legislatures about this.

Criminals can not be prosecuted for NOT registering their firearms.

They’re already ranked #1 by the Brady bunch.

Are they worried that NJ and Mass are catching up?

It seems the progressive gust from the bombastic, bellowing foghorn finally made its way to the West Coast.

“California gun sales jump; gun injuries, deaths fall”

“Gun deaths and injuries have dropped sharply in California, even as the number of guns sold in the state has risen, according to new state data...”

As far as the ammo portion being proposed, there should already be case law on the books against what they are proposing.

They tried to pull this with AB 962 and a couple years back.

“...The lawsuit successfully sought the declaration from the Court that the statute was unconstitutional, and successfully sought the injunctive relief prohibiting law enforcement from enforcing the new laws.

The lawsuit alleged, and the Court agreed, that AB 962 is unconstitutionally vague on its face because it fails to provide sufficient legal notice of what ammunition cartridges are “principally for use in a handgun,” and thus is considered “handgun ammunition” that is regulated under AB 962. It is practically impossible, both for those subject to the law and for those who must enforce it, to determine whether any of the thousands of different types of ammunition cartridges that can be used in handguns are actually “principally for use in” or used more often in, a handgun. The proportional usage of any given cartridge is impossible to determine, and in any event changes with market demands. In fact, the legislature itself is well aware of the vagueness problem with AB 962’s definition of “handgun ammunition” and tried to redefine it via AB 2358 in 2010.

AB 2358 failed in the face of opposition from the NRA and CRPA based on the proposal’s many other nonsensical infringements on ammunition sales to law abiding citizens...”

I'm starting to think there needs to be a mental wellness check and registration/licensing proving they passed before someone can run for office in the state of California.

I think gun ownership cuts across political parties, religious affiliations (or lack of) and economic classes. I think our leftist nanny state legislators, may be in a rude jackasses out.

1994 - WHITE on WHITE = 1,178 homicides
1994 - WHITE on ALL GROUPS = 1,386 homicides

-

1994 actual homicides with population = 260 million:

Whites & Hispanics (combined)= 219 million x 3.22 homicides per 100k = 7,056 homicides
3.22/100,000 homicides

WHITES = 198 million x 0.7 homicides per 100,000 Homicides (by Whites Only) = 1,386 homicides = 20% of White and Hispanic homicides
.7/100,000 homicides

HISPANICS = 21 million x 27 homicides per 100,000 Hispanics = 5,670 homicides = 80% of White and Hispanic homicides
27/100,000 homicides

BLACKS = 31 million x 52 homicides per 100,000 Blacks = 16,120 homicides
52/100,000 homicides

"OTHERS" = 10 million x 1.24 homicides per Other = 124 homicides
1.24/100,000 homicides

These are Official 1994 US GOVERNMENT CRIME STATISTICS DURING THE SLICK WILLIE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION with US Department of Justice Attorney General Janet Reno and FBI Director Louis Freeh providing this information for publication -
