RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities confirm that a burned-out truck matching the description of a getaway vehicle owned by triple-murder suspect Christopher Dorner was found in the San Bernardino mountains Thursday.
Police were searching Thursday for 33-year-old Dorner, a former Los Angeles Police Department officer, after he was named a suspect Wednesday night in a double homicide in Irvine.
Authorities said the officers were stopped at a red light while on routine patrol around 1:35 a.m. Thursday when someone shot them.

“Two of our officers were involved in a shooting at the intersection of Arlington and Magnolia. Both officers were shot and transported to a local hospital. One was pronounced dead, the other one is currently in surgery and is in critical condition,” Officer Bryan Galbreath told KNX 1070.

This guy isn’t some “highly trained military marksman”. He’s not combat arms, he’s a reservist that’s been shuttled back and forth between desk jobs and technical training that he apparently couldn’t even begin to complete. His range scores are passable, but by no means remarkable, qualifying marksman on the range doesn’t mean what you think it does.
He’s a failure. He’s a mentally deficient reject that has been coddled by society, given pass after pass for incompetence and bad behavior. He couldn’t manage to complete probation as a police officer without filing a complaint against his female field training officer for civil rights violations.
At a later date, he couldn’t stand to overhear objectionable language from his fellow police officers, and assaulted them. When he finally met a review board that wouldn’t put up with his shit, he accused them of being a bunch of racists.
He’s a halfwit and a failure that blames his every deficiency and shortcoming on white racists. He can’t express himself any better than a child in grade-school. He blames every around him for his failures, for his sense of inadequacy, and his utter inability to control his emotions. His anti-social and mentally imbalanced behavior finally cost him a job, and his response? Accuse everyone around him of racist conspiracies and go around murdering innocent people.
This isn’t a Hollywood movie, it’s just another sad day in America. I can just be thankful that this murdering psychopath, this coddled little entitled halfwit with a victimization complex, isn’t walking a beat in my neighborhood.
No, he is not running. He explains he knows he will be killed but he is going to take out as many on his list as he can before he gets killed. He knows evasion tactics like the back of his hand. That is why the cops on the list are so freaked out - they are afraid.
I'm listening to Greta and she hasn't read that manifesto since she doesn't know why the woman and man were killed. She doesn't know the woman was the daughter of one of the targeted cops. She is acting like he is killing indiscriminately. She hasn't done her homework on this guy.

The fact of the matter is he’s a loony that murdered a few people, and is now trying to run for his life (and managing to screw up repeatedly along the way). At this point, I say he’s as or more dangerous to himself than he is to anyone else.
He’s already failed in an attempt to steal a boat, so if he’s some great mastermind, his plan sure is loose.

* I knew it! many of us on earlier posts thought the same thing..that the truck was just a diversion & he’s been long gone for hours..question is, where?? My bet is he’s already thought this out, very carefully & is already a step ahead..I’d be more than a little worried if my name was on his hit list.
Her father retired as an LAPD Captain before Dorner joined the force; then he got a law degree. When Dorner was up before the board, he was Dorner’s defense attorney. He lost the case. Dorner may believe that it was a ‘fix’.
He’s also a fan of President Bush I, calling him a great American and wishing him well. This guy is all over the place.

The list is long and goes back a long way. The longer this man remains at large, and the bigger his bodycount (in terms of LAPD killed) the greater the odds he becomes a folk hero. That’s how these things go; it’s human nature.
I have little doubt his pointing a finger at another cop caused him no end of grief. No excuse of course for what he is doing. None at all. He should have sued the department like a sane person would do.
And the big blue wall comes down. I don’t believe for one second that they were driving at 5 AM with their lights off.
But that’s a necessary part of the story to enable the cops to pretend that they couldn’t see what kind of truck it was, and to assume that something bad was going on.
