Lets put ideology aside for a moment.
Karl Rove, architect of the George W. Bush-era Republican victories, says hes sick of fanatics running his party into the ground. So hes devised a strategy to preemptively sink unelectable candidates early in the process. Hes formed a new super PAC to implement this strategy. Its called the Conservative Victory Project, and its led by a guy named Steven Law, who was the head of another super PAC, called American Crossroads, which went something like 0-7 in the 2012 election cycle. (Not that anyones counting.)
Grass-roots conservatives, needless to say, are quite perturbed. Im filing the paperwork to form a super PAC to support freedom-loving conservative alternatives to (Karl Rove) on FOX, tweeted former Rep. Joe Walsh. Surely, he wont be the last to counter Roves efforts

I agree to some degree with what you say. However, I had to do a lot of soul searching regarding my efforts to persuade liberals to come away from the dark side. The reason? I realized that you could make a cohesive argument that the sky is blue and show your work and even the educated and smart ones would argue that it was red and throw out “raw stats” to support their ridiculous position. After a few years of this with the same people you realize that your efforts could best be maximized by “shaking the dust off your feet and spend your time on others.
That is what I now do. But for me it is on an individual one to one basis. I’ve found the best way to deal with this is to ignore the politics altogether since that really does lead to a dead end. The problem we are having now is not political. the politics is a symptom of another problem. A root problem. It is spiritual.
So I focus on the spiritual. When everything does collapse, hopefully there will be enough left with the right spiritual perspective to build it again as our founding fathers did.
Personally, I strongly believe it won’t matter because we are watching the prelude to the day of the Lord. That is what matters, and what I discuss usually. The politics is a side show.
“Most of the electorate hasn’t heard of Karl Rove and doesn’t care what he says. Yet, astonishingly, a collection of nitwits can delude themselves into believing that Rove, simply by saying unpleasant things about a candidate, is personally responsible for Akin losing by FIFTEEN points and Christine O’Donnell losing by SEVENTEEN points.”
Do you seriously claim that these large margins of defeat would be eliminated by another republican candidate?
There’s no way such a large deficit could be made up.
What you are actually arguing is that candidates must be vetted by the media.
It is not that the dems “brand” is strong. Barely 50% of the people support it if you set aside the fraud vote. What is strong is their willingness to back their “brand.” What we have is a republican party with elites who hate their own brand, run from their own grassroots, and search for the approval of the democrats. They envy the fact that the dems can manufacture people who will do as they are told and vote for whatever they put up. Conservatives, a large block of the republican party, think about who and what they are voting for and like the elephant that represents the party, they don’t forget when a RINO stabs them in the back.
Low info dems can always be counted on to come out and vote the way the dems want them to vote when they play to their brand. Low interest republicans are not zombies and have to be given a reason to support the republican of choice. Unfortunately for the republican establishment that runs from anything conservative, they hate conservative principles too much to power up low interest voters so they try to coerce people into voting for their candidate. But that tactic is getting less successful each time they use it.
The dems playbook now says play to your base and in the end you will win. I can’t imagine the GOPe RINOs ever agreeing to do that. You can see their response for yourself in Tokyo Rove’s behavior. He’s already looking for ways to rid himself of the base and its “brand.”
While not a "fundamentalist," myself--although many of my former political supporters were & are--I have suggested that the Leftist pursuit of the notion of "one world," or one species, is indeed an effort to Return To Babel?
Frankly, I believe that God helps those who step up, to responsibly help themselves; and that, so long as there is positive good that we can do, to reverse the fall into chaos, we must do that which we can. Rove, being an unprincipled & analytically dysfunctional bully, is only an impediment to that process.

I see a different playbook. Liberals have been playing the long game. They infiltrated the public schools. They took ownership. And have turned out 2+ generations of mush heads. In addition, the young minds they poisoned are now in positions of influence in the media, and in colleges.
We will have to absorb our beatings. They are coming, and there is nothing we can do to stop them. We’re seriously outnumbered. But, our message is the right message, and it is the message that stands up to scrutiny. So, if we get back to basics and educate young minds, we can eventually turn the tide. Anything short of that will result in continued beatings from the deviant liberal culture.
Maybe Karl Rove Has a Pointy Head
The Republican party is splitting. It’ll be a long, slow process like the self-immolation of the Whigs. Rove is just part of that process. The Whigs split on slavery. R’s are split on big government vs small government. Both splits were fundamental issues about basic directions of the nation. It may not be pretty. But a much stronger, liberty based party may emerge from the ashes.
The big difference between then and now. The new, liberty based party in 1860 was allowed to take power. I don’t think that will be permitted today. Same result though.
Yes, in your post is part of the reason that, in 2011, I moved from my home of 45 years, Seattle, to a rural community in central Kentucky. And why I see our current civilization as more like Babilon than ancient Rome. I moved to my new home in the vein of Revelation 18:4.
I don’t consider myself a fundamentalist. I just see myself as a follower of Christ. I currently attend a Baptist church.

Theres no way such a large deficit could be made up.
“The next Republican senate candidate in Delaware who was not named Christine O’Donnell lost by 30+ points.”
Yes.
These arguments are delusional at best.
I personally don’t think they are delusional but simply about power plays and control.
“Sorry, but Christine ODonnell is a fruit loop who was playing WAY out of her league in running for the Senate.”
Maybe so, but what does that say about the Republican opponent who lost to her?
What does it say about the supposedly electable non-fruit loop Mitt Romney who lost to Obama in Delaware by a greater margin than O’Donnell lost to her Democrat opponent.
Logic and rationality is a hallmark of conservative thought and you aren’t showing it.
“Sarah Steeleman would have won the seat Akin lost.”
Your powers of omniscience are impressive.
O'Donnell needed help and didn't get it -- practical help, with "how to campaign".
People who've sifted the ashes inform us that, with the twin boat anchors of Romney's campaign and his own political personality in his pockets, Mike Castle would have lost anyway. Nobody except maybe Sarah Palin could have dragged the mastodon-carcass of Mitt Romney's voter-suppressive candidacy up that hill.
Your powers of omniscience are impressive.
I linked to data to support my claim.
I have bad news for you: you can't refute my data with smugness.
What is interesting is that you are sincere.
At the same link there are other polls that did not show that candidate winning.
There were polls showing Romney winning.
I prefer to accept your omniscience.
Actually, if Titanic had started her engines at once and driven herself into the pack ice, most of the 1512 passengers and crew who died, would not have.
