Texas 6th graders assigned to design flag for new socialist nation

Sixth-grade children in many Texas public schools are being tasked with designing flags for a new socialist nation as part of the state's curriculum, EAG News reported Monday.

"Notice socialist/communist nations use symbolism on their flags representing various aspects of their economic system. Imagine a new socialist nation is creating a flag and you have been put in charge of creating a flag," says a lesson plan being used as part of CSCOPE, the curriculum being used by over 70 percent of Texas school districts.

"Use symbolism to represent aspects of socialism/communism on your flag. What kind of symbolism/colors would you use?" the lesson plan asks.

According to the Associated Press, witnesses told the Texas Senate Education Committee last week that the program promotes liberal values they described as "anti-Christian at best and openly socialist at worst."

"Does that sound like we're sympathizing with those types of countries?" Sen. Larry Taylor (R-Friendswood) asked regarding the flag assignment. He later said that he found it “very egregious as a Texas and an American.”

"Committee Chairman Dan Patrick, R-Houston, called it 'a mess.' One witness compared the system to 'mind control,' and an algebra teacher wept as he described quitting because he felt he was 'aiding and abetting a crime' by using CSCOPE in his classroom," the AP reported.

An article at Texas CSCOPE Review was even harsher in its criticism, accusing Obama of "teaching our children how wonderful socialism is and that communism is even better."

Not my first-grade daughter. I already taught her to eschew “peace signs,” explaining that the chickenfoot was used by people who wanted to prevent the U.S. from defending itself against violence from Communists (whom I described as “bad people who did not want people to be free or to own property”).

Read the comments at the end of the article. People are furious, especially grandparents who are probably more knowledgeable about socialism than their sons and daughters.

Why is there so much secrecy surrounding this curriculum? Why can’t teachers discuss it, why can’t parents see it? What parent in their right mind would send their children to a school where they don’t have access to their children’s learning materials?

Why did this happen in Texas, of all places?

Yes, but don’t you understand, “Texans are proud of Texas.” They just don’t think that people in other states should have those same feelings for theirs. I mean after all, California has “faggots!” Now who could be “proud” of a state that had “faggots?” And of course California “has illegals” too. Oops, so does Texas, but they try to tell you that theirs are “better.” Why because they have to swim to get into Texas so they are cleaner? Oh well, as they say the cow $hit is deeper in Texas! And Texans, tell us, does your school system still “allow” the teacher to “paddle” your kid without your permission? Yes, Texas has all these “advanced” discipline tools in their schools, and now they have “creative flag design!”

This sounds even worse than elementary school in New York. Our kindergarten class was assigned a redesign of the American flag, but without the Socialist intro. At least the Texan children weren’t required later to get up on stage and perform, ‘M is for Martin’, as in Martin King, as we ignorantly had to.

In a large sense it reminds me of a Frank Peretti book( principalities and ppowers like the story of Elisha and his follower,"oh Lord open his eyes,") then sometimes I can imagine the impending darkness like a JRR Tolkein book the closer the Hobbit gets to Mordor.

In reality though I think some are completely naive, others actually believe in this crap but have no idea lucifer exists and would pooh-pooh ya if you called them on it. Then there are those like Alinsky and others who fully know and yet still funnel society as a whole down the tubes, this includes some of the churches and pastors and rabbis and alleged"good" people.

It's now "earth people" vs" pilgrims in the battle of the centuries. BUT if we could bet I'd toss all my money on our monarch, OUR Leader, Yeshua!

We win in the end but until He chooses the time and place, we will suffer the moral decline of society not just in America, but all over this lil world.
