In the latest attack on the American people, a decorated War Hero has been arrested and charged with five counts of third degree criminal possession of a weapon, for having empty 30 round AR-15 Magazines in his vehicle.
On Sunday January 6th Staff Sgt. Nathan Haddad, a decorated combat veteran, was driving through Jefferson County New York when he was randomly pulled over for a vehicle check. Haddad, who had five 30 round empty magazines in his possession, was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department and charged with five felony counts.
According to Haddads brother, Michael Haddad, Nathan thought these magazines were legally made before the New York Assault Weapons Ban. When Nathan Haddad was arrested the new ban had not even been fully enacted yet.
This is not a criminal, this is not some thug looking to hurt people; this is a decorated combat veteran who was recently honored by the Philadelphia chapter of Blue Star Mothers and the Union Leagues Armed Services Council for helping disabled vets get back on their feet. Whats happening to Army veteran Nate Haddad is an absolute attack on liberty. Here we have a man who honorably served his country, who was trusted with weaponry that far exceeded anything he was carrying, that now finds himself facing the possibility of spending years in prison.

The opening chapter of Joseph P. Martino’s recent masterpiece, Resistance to Tyranny, makes the clearest case I’ve seen yet as to where this sort of stuff comes from and where it almost inevitably leads. Lucid, highly documented info throughout the book, but the first chapter is the best wake-up call and best education I’ve seen yet about these sorts of events and what they portend.

Obviously the NY LEO stopped a dangerous criminal from a mass shooting incident. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a gun with him, so his plan must have been to scare the little ones with the evil springs, sheet metal and followers. Obviously dangerous in their own right....Commie Cuomo must be ecstatic to put this patriot behind bars as an example.
Confiscation is only a heart beat away for Yankee commies.
NY’s real life version of Les Miserables with Coumo as Javert.
Think about the implications. How many NYers are now felons in their own homes overnight?
“After over 25 years of excellent fishing in Canada, we never went back and those arrogant canucks can kiss my Dago ass and I’ll continue to spend my money in the USA.”
I spent years living in Canada, mostly the NW, and I just want to say how sorry I am that all of you went through that experience. I go back to Canada often, but it feels more and more alien to me. It’s a shame because the country is beautiful and the people were always friendly and helpful. But, as my Canadian brother says, he doesn’t know anyone he liked who became a law enforcement officer. Only the pricks.
Wait - they pulled him over for a “random vehicle check”?
Wow. That’s a Police state. I mean, really - it’s right there in front of us.
I hope they didn’t ask if he was illegal or anything.....
Unfortunately, law-abiding citizens need to carry the following display page in their vehicles:
“I repsectfully exercise my 4th and 5th Amendment rights and hereby inform you that:
(1) I will not answer any questions that may be introduced in evidence against me in a court of law, regardless of the accusation. and;
(2) I do not agree or consent to any search of my vehicle and personal property without a properly executed warrant of search.
(3) I am willing to stay here and await the aforementioned warrant until such time that I am free to leave. Be aware that I will continue to ask you if I am free to leave and, if you answer in the negative I expect a proper and Constitutional explanation as to why I am being detained.
(4) Be aware that I have already contacted my legal representative who may show up at this location at any moment.
That’s the one question they’ll never ask...
There is no Paul Revere. Someone had to both KNOW and ORGANIZE the many different freedom loving groups into a big movement.
I carry this. Is there any part that can be strengthened or changed?
1. Am I under arrest or merely being detained? If I am being detained, under what probable circumstances (probable cause) can you provide for me to be detained?
2. Under my 4th and 5th Amendment rights, I do not agree or consent to any search of my vehicle or personal effects without a properly executed warrant which must be served upon my person.
3. Searches performed by animal detection means will be afforded provided that a properly executed warrant is issued. I do not agree to provide access to the interior of my vehicle or any personal effects in or out of the vehicle to animal-based searches without a properly executed warrant.
4. I do not agree to answer any questions that may be entered into testimony in a court of law according to my 5th Amendment rights.
5. If I am under arrest, I hereby exercise my 5th Amendment rights and will not provide evidence of any type that may be introduced against me in a court of law. Any gathering of evidence shall be executed under a duly exercised court order and in the presence of my legal representation. I do not agree to or consent to any evidence gathering techniques that causes me to give-up my rights according to the 5th Amendment. This extends to so-called breathalyzer test as well as blood draws not done under warrant or in the presence of my legal counsel.
“he was randomly pulled over for a vehicle check.”
Don’t forget this little gem.
“This is why many FReepers understand that the war on drunk driving has removed more liberties than most people understand.”
And far more of our community celebrate the trampling of liberty in the name of DUI laws!
This is interesting, causing a lot of thought...
The power of the state can overwhelm an individual with unlimited prosecutorial resources. Even if there are 100 million gun owners, each, as an individual, can be rendered a criminal and convict.
So the answer must lie in collective, civil action. Perhaps much like the civil rights actions of the south. On a massive scale. A few hundred thousand show up to Jefferson County, each waving a single empty 30 round AR-15 magazine, demanding to be arrested, perhaps.
I don’t know. I don’t know if it takes a “leader” or a groundswell of one-to-one communications, or something else.
But something is going to spark a fire.
Possibly an order was given out to target any veteran plated vehicles.
Something to think about. Keep your Veteran license plate or blend in with the sheep?
Personally I would convoy as many Molon Labe, Gadsden flags and veterans plates and taunt them into action.
Its them or us.
Not while we have trial by jury. This is what jury nullification if for. Even if they can force a law like this through with no public notice, they still have to get a conviction. As a potential juror in a Second Amendment case, I would answer the juror questions as quickly and casually as possible but with the intent of being selected for the jury and being truthful but not helpful in my answers. If asked whether I "could" vote to convict, the answer is "yes". Would I? No way, but I could! We just need one juror in twelve to be a patriotic American, and I would hope we would have far mroe than that.
I think that by the time an individual reaches the point of standing before a jury, that individual is destroyed financially; the state has effectively won regardless of the verdict or nullification.
(My thoughts at this time, I appreciate your feedback.)
I think our GovCo style government churns out laws designed to transfer power to GovCo and make lawyers money. That's definitely the case with all of obamacare.
They know these beasts they pass are outrageous and will be challenged along the way as they are imposed, which means lots of lawyers getting paid.
The more and higher the challenges go, the more it costs for ever better lawyers, who get paid even more, and all love the attention for all sorts of reasons.
If it's really nasty, eventually, politicians can/will base campaigns on getting rid of this assault upon private citizens, etc. Rinse and repeat. Win-win.
Most of the time, I see us as having fallen for and into every spiritual trap set for specifically us. Too bad we keep trying to dig our way back out of the hole. All too easy. We're like when the boss's kids inherit the business without having a clue or any interest in how to run it.
What’s stopping us from organizing?
