CHICAGO, Illinois, January 25, 2013 - A new Cold War is brewing here in Chicagos Hyde Park neighborhood and it has nothing to do with the frigid temperature. The apartment building at 832 E. 57th Street was once the Chicago home of a boy who would become a President. No, its not Barack Obama of Hawaii. It was at the apartments first floor window that a young Ronald Reagan looked out upon the world. But some powerful Chicagoans are planning to demolish Reagans historic home. Is it politically motivated? Is Mayor Rahm Emanuel behind the move? Reagan as a child. It was a different world back in 1915. Reagan's family had moved here from Tampico, Illinois. His father had gotten a job at the famed Marshall Fields now only a memory. A coin-operated gas lamp was the only homes only source of heat. But it didnt stop a young Dutch Reagan from dreaming. Young Reagan would watch the horse-drawn fire engines galloping wildly down the streets to save the day and he decided that he, too, would become a firefighter. It was here, too, that he survived a bout with pneumonia he had the fight in him even then. You can almost imagine him skipping down these streets, playing with his brother Neil, whose nickname was Moon.

It’s likely that the Baraq Hussein Obama Presidential Library and Choom Gang Museum will have branches in Hawaii, LA, and Chicago.
Of course we’ll build another wing on the Smithsonian for his artifacts also.
OK. Who’s going to picket?
“Oh, oh. Too bad, so sad. 0hbummer doesn’t have a Home State.
Why doesnt Obama put his library in Hawaii?
Isnt that what all presidents do?
Their home state?
This move tells a lot about Obamas lack of a home state”
Obama’s library being in Chicago is completely normal. Same as Reagan’s being in California. He was born and raised in Illinois, but he settled into California as an adult. Many people these days eventually take on a new home state as an adult. A number of reasons could have made an adult move, military, marriage, job, Frank Davis and Bill Ayers.
Thanks SueRae.
Trying to erase Reagan’s memory in the public consciousness?
BO’s crew had best be careful.
Graves can give up secrets.
Ha, you beat me to it! Fascinating story.
LOL! That would certainly hold all of his writings, with room to spare!
This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. This cannot happen.
“The University of Chicago Medical Center wants to tear down the building for THEIR OWN parking lot.”

Either way—it’s just wrong. I got a Masters degree from the U of C, and if they do this, well, the next time they call me for donations, the answer will be no.
“Despicable cretins.”
You’re being too kind, really.
There are no words to describe the cosmic hatred that these people feel for anyone not in agreement with them.
They’re absolutely unhinged in their hatred and willingness to dishonor the memory of someone in the camp of opposite ideas to theirs.
To describe them as visceral animals is inadequate; psychotic, soul-less creatures also falls short.
Somewhere, sometime in the past, their seeds were formed and are now beginning to grow into the revolutionaries who are trampling on their enemies, among whom is The
Reason for Christianity to exist.
IMHO
Thank you. Geesh. Do we have to save every damn place someone was ever in? Feel the same way, frankly, about roadside memorials, and more general ones too. Does everyone at every place have to have a memorial? I can think of a few local accidents that are interesting and sad, but in the old days people moved on instead of holding it aloft in perpetuity, so we have no memorials for them.
Thank you too. It’s for the hospital.
Making everything into a conspiracy does not help our cause. We look as crazy as liberals.
In 20 years Obama’s home in Chicago will be burnt out and boarded up hulk frequented vagrants and crack whores.
“Isn’t this what Muslims do at the site of a victory? Don’t they erect a mosque to celebrate their victory? Hmmmmmm.... “
Ed Zachary. This is typical jihadi behavior.
