COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police have arrested a Colerain man after he posted a photo of himself on Facebook holding his 1-year-old daughter and a BB gun.
Domonic Gaines, 22, was arrested after the incident which occurred at his home on Suliner Drive Sunday.
According to reports, police initially believed that Gaines was holding a handgun in the photo. However, police say the gun in question turned out to be a BB gun.
The photo depicted Gaines holding his daughter, Paradise Gaines, along with the BB gun. Police say that the close proximity of the gun to the child created a substantial risk of physical harm.
Police say they found the BB gun at the residence after the arrest was made.
"It's really been blown out of proportion," said Gaines' father, Wilson Dykes.
Dykes claims that it was the baby's maternal grandmother who saw the photo and called the police.
Gaines was arraigned on Monday morning on Child Endangerment charges. He's being held without bond in the Hamilton County Jail.

If just having a gun near a baby causes arrest, if they could just identify this "guy", he/it would be in REAL trouble for baby endangerment:

I’d be shopping for a lawyer. Show me the money.
Granny better look at a photograph if she wants to see me or mine again. Betrayed by your own blood.
Our nanny overlords must think firearms are radioactive.

Police say that the close proximity of the gun to the child created a substantial risk of physical harm. The so-called "police" who say that have their heads up their backsides. That, and they're a bunch of penny-ante tyrants. They should all be fired (all the way up to the chief), and permanently barred from any sort of job holding any sort of responsibility or power. Let them sweep the sidewalks.
Dykes claims that it was the baby's maternal grandmother who saw the photo and called the police.
Bitch. She should be flogged.
Folks, be careful who and what you marry.

Death by unga-bunga. For both of them.

It’s too bad it takes three articles to get all the relevant parts of one story. It’s a good thing the contractor I’m waiting for is late or I’d never be able to keep up.

Dykes claims that it was the baby's maternal grandmother who saw the photo and called the police.
This story appears to be less about guns and more about family/custody dispute.
I'll speculate:
1. Grandma feels dad treated her daughter like crap.
2. Grandma doesn't think dad should be near the child.
3. Grandma is watching and waiting for an excuse to gain leverage on dad.
4. Grandma sees an opportunity and goes for it.
I don't honestly know who is the scumbag here. Could be grandma, could be dad. But this stuff happens all the time. Sort of like people taking a photo of dad out at a bar on a night he is supposed to have custody of the kids.
It appears to me more about building legal leverage....building a case file against dad.
This boils down to a domestic dispute. Not a gun issue. Unless the media decides to make it one.

It didn't take long before the jackboot licking idiots posted their usual and oh so predictable ad hominem attacks. Way to go! Your beloved police arrest a guy for taking a picture of himself holding a gun adn a kid. I post something critical of it and voila the jackboot lickers put their freshly shoe polished tongues to work insulting me.
You guys must love 0bama. He may soon give you a chance to turn in your neighbors for owning guns. Not as good as turning in Jews, but you take what you can get right?
