Romney lost because he was the wrong candidate. But with that being said, it's possible that the US electorate now lacks the moral fibre to elect a capable leader; rather choosing morally bankrupt shysters who will help them steal from their neighbors.

He “Lost” because of massive vote fraud. Do you really believe 98% of blacks voted? Do you really believe Obama won 100% in so many districts? Do you really believe Hispanics who will not approach a government official for help following a Hurricane will march into a government office with proof of where they live to vote?

I disliked the RINO-ness of Romney, but did think that he was a very decent man.

But, agree, he was very much the wrong candidate.

You can’t be a liberal all your life and then fake being a conservate any more than you can be a muslim all your life and fake being a christian.

To me, Romney’s biggest failure was to not pound obama on all his illegal actions and how they damage the country. But Romney was a big government lib so none of that mattered to him, apparently.

But there is still no doubt that a lot of voter fraud / theft occured.

I do not agree with this article. I think he and Ryan articulated their goals well. What I think was a problem is that we are a dumbed down electorate as a whole and that many were too lazy to vote or even to register to vote on our side.

Many will text for hours but voting and its responsibilities were just too much trouble and time!!! Basically many could not be bothered so we get the President that bought votes and the total government supported voters who didn’t want to rid themselves of hefty benefits they receive monthly.

Mr. RomneyCARE lost because he wanted to.
His goal, as when he attacked Gov.Palin on the
eve of Election 2008, was to stop all conservatives.

Mr. RomneyCARE lost because he already had pocketed
the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ with Rove.

You put your finger on it. It’s possible reublicans will never win another national election. We may be able to do well at the state level though. It’s pretty depressing. no more families with fathers, gay boyscouts. the whole country is falling apart with the only growth: government power.

Romney’s GOTV was such a spectacular failure that it seemed to be sabotaged - intentionally. Democrat vote fraud was as spectacularly successful as it was obvious to anyone paying attention yet Romney and the GOP did nothing to mitigate it and said absolutely nothing in protest of it. IMHO Romney did not lose, he took a dive.

When you have the deck stacked against you by a co-opted news media willing to give Obama billions in free campaign advertising in the guise of balanced journalism, little can be said or done to cut through that. We need to get over this idea that we’re playing on a level playing field and a conservative candidate with a compelling vision can win, if only he does and says all the right things and says them well. They can’t, not with a US news media willing to gloss over or cover up every defect, failing and misstep of the Democratic candidate, while holding every syllable uttered by the GOP candidate up for anal probe levels of scrutiny like was done with Romney. Even Reagan would lose in today’s media environment where Republicans are demonized at every turn and a personality cult of Kim Ill Sung levels of fanaticism is being promoted by the MSM.

2012 was the single worst year of a horrible Obama presidency. The ONLY reason Obama survived to be re-elected is because the media got him there. The media covered up disasters and scandals from national security leaks in the spring to make Obama look good for his campaign (impeachable), to Fast & Furious and the absurd exec. privilege claim, to the lies and cover up of Benghazi, to the cover up of the botched federal response to Sandy and the true depths of the economic mess we’re in, inc. falsifying job and employment numbers. Any one of these things would have been used to sink a Republican incumbent by the US news media. For Obama, they covered it all up. A little hard to win when you have that working against you.

When you have an MSM that won’t ask a sitting DEMOCRATIC Senator about an FBI investigation of him having sex with an underage prostitute, plus campaign finance violations, as happened with Sen. Bob Menendez this weekend, how can we really think ANY conservative candidate will be given a fair hearing? As Mark Levin said, when the USSR fell the US inherited its media.

This is much more believable than the Hispanic Voter Myth nonsense spewed by Amnesty Liberals

Scary that the GOP is going to throw themselves in the dustbin of history over Criminal Illegal Aliens....especially when considering that Amnesty Liberal John McCain got only 31% of the Hispanic vote in 2008.....to Romney’s 27% in 2012

It’s exceptionally difficult to win when half of all voters are members of the FSA, and your opponent is Santa Claus.

I believe that Republicans at the national level lost, largely because they’ve allowed themselves to be caricaturized by Liberals. They were successfully painted as the the un-cool, small-minded, mean-spirited, etc. party, without an effective response.

I know a number of Obama supporters. Many of them are in favor of family, hard work, accountability, discipline, community involvement (Big Brothers Big Sisters), and even religion.

And yet, these same smart people support someone who is the antithesis of all of those things. It’s because they don’t know any Republicans, but they know Republicans want to take money away from poor people, want to kick granny out into the street, want to grab money from people who don’t have it, and give it to rich people who don’t need it.

Paul Ryan is “that guy who looks too good, there must be something wrong with him, he probably cheats on his wife”.

I believe this is the battle that needs to be won. The same battle the Rush won many years ago, where listeners said “hey, here’s a guy that thinks like me”. I’m not sure who the right messengers are, though.

It is much simpler. He lost because he was seen as Ruling Class by the 2/3’s of the country that is the Country Class. Much of the base simply couldn’t vote for a man trying so hard not to offend the Establishment to which he belonged.

Nothing will change until the checks bounce. Until then those receiving free things will continue to vote for free things.

In the end people are shallow and principally vote for who they like the most.

And face it, Romney just wasn't likable, and being a Mormon just made it all the worse and caused millions of conservative Christians to stay home.

I am so sick and tired of hearing how Romney lost because he didn’t campaign well enough or he wasn’t a ‘true good conservative.’

Just take a look at the voting blocs. Minorities voted overwhelmingly because they wanted to see a minority person in charge. If the GOP comes back to power, it’s going to be because they run a
woman and get 66% of the
White vote and then start doing something about these immigration problems.
