Saxby Chambliss, the Republican senator from Georgia, will not seek re-election in 2014, a GOP source said Friday.
A conservative voice in the upper chamber since 2002, Chambliss recently drew the ire of some activists to his right who took issue with his support for bipartisan compromise. He was a member of the "Gang of Six," which tried in 2011 to strike a bipartisan deal on reducing the federal debt.

No. The worst that could happen is a RINO but that’s bad enough.
Max Cleland was or last Dem senator and what got him in was sympathy and being former VA head. While the urban areas are Dem, the rest are not and they don’t outnumber us
Herman Cain is not running.
Neither is John Barrow (D, too bad he’d lose and we’d grab his House seat) or Newt (Thank God).
I wouldn’t say the risk is ZERO but it’s pretty damn low. Not gonna happen.
Some rats are suggesting the MAYOR OF ATLANTA who is Black and named “Kasim”. LOL. It’s not Illinois morons!!
You make fun of Saxby’s real first name one more time, he’ll stick his foot so far up your you-know-where that your breath with smell like shoe polish.
(You’ll get my reference if you’ve ever seen Eddie Murphy as Clarence, the Fifth Beatle, on that early ‘80s SNL skit.)
“Herman Cain is not running.”
Good.
“or Newt”
Good.
New blood with new ideas needed.
There are people in the red states of South Dakota and Indiana who wound up with Democrat senators. Anything can happen with the wrong candidate on the ticket. Hopefully the people of Georgia will pick a solid, conservative for their candidate who knows how to get his message across in the face of a hostile media.
North Dakota.
It makes me sick, fraud but the rat over the top but it should never have been that close, terrible campaign by Rick Berg and effective folksy BS from the rat.
At least in Indiana they at least had a reason for not liking the Republican, stupid though it was, and there was a libertarian that let the rat win with under 50%.
And Missouri cause that unbelievable fool Akin refused to quit.
Nevada in 2010, that was won, it was OVER until Angle ran the worst race in history.
It’s like taking a machine gun to your own foot.
Do you think once he’s out of office he’ll finally get his wings?
Uh-oh, I can almost taste the polish already! ;p
Nah, Saxby would never jump in cold water to save anyone.
