You really have to wonder about the lack of security at any business that would allow a new employee access to that amount of money. I used to manage a very successful fast food operation and if any of my managers allowed a till to build to more than $300 to $400 dollars before being skimmed they would be in serious trouble! Just some information, my site had six registers running peak times breakfast, lunch and dinner. A very high volume location.

We had a safe with a drop slot. No more than 50 bucks in the drawer. Cashiers could get extra change but there was 5 minute timer on the dispenser to limit how much could go out.

through Medicare, and Medicaid, and Social Security – these things do not sap our initiative; they strengthen us. They do not make us a nation of takers; they free us to take the risks that make this country great."

That is what popped in to my mind right away. Who leaves more than $2000 in a drawer? That is just stupid.

Obviously these owners weren’t paying attention when they went to the franchise management school.

Thanks for the perspective, Mastador1, it really adds some dimension to these threads. A belated “Welcome to FR”, too - cheers!
