An explosive new coroner's report reveals Hollywood star Natalie Wood was likely beaten aboard her yacht before he went overboard and drowned in 1981.
The Los Angeles County coroner's examination of the Wood case also found flaws in 'every major' finding of the previous autopsy report that led medical examiners to rule the Hollywood star's death an accident.
It's the latest step toward settling the question of whether Wood was murdered, or whether she accidentally fell overboard on her 60-foot yacht and drowned - as the original police investigation concluded.
The new coroner's examination asserts that bruises found on the actress' wrists, knees, and ankles were consistent with her being beaten - not, as the 1981 report concluded, caused by her struggling to climb back aboard to yacht after falling over the side.

I have said for years that Wagner killed her. I still think he did.
Sure he is. Probably less than an hour after this guy opened his mouth, Hoffa was dug up and moved.
Oops, wrong thread.
Unless, of course, your name is Bill Clinton.
....and then the rabbi said to the alligator, "how do these cross-thread incidents happen, anyway?"
knees and ankles made me think a midget was involved.
Or they could be the result of her being repeatedly hit by someone with an oar or a similar item to prevent her from climbing back up on the vessel.
One of the most beautiful women ever to grace the screen. A fine, fine specimen!!!
Don’tcha hate when that happens?
A natural beauty.
No one has yet brought up another theory, in addition to her having been drinking and unable to swim, and that was that she was wearing a down jacket or parka, and when she went in the water, it absorbed water and became extremely heavy, which pulled her under and she couldn’t recover.

Not really. It’s a very important job.
I fell off our 40’er, between the dock and boat. I went under the boat, opened my eyes to find light, and tried to orient myself to the swim platform. It could not have been 10 seconds, and my husband had the ladder out and ready. Here s the thing, I had bruises all over me the next day, my muscles were exhausted probably from panic and I was so desperate to get in the boat, I am sure I was flailing. I can only imagine what even a five minute episode would do to the body. (I would like to add, we had taken a 12 week Power Squadron class and the instructor said a boater WILL fall off the boat someday and told us what to do. When I went off the boat, everything we were taught immediately came to mind, while I was momentarily trapped under the vessel. That instructor and class saved my life.).
She may have been disagreeable. Hard to imagine though. Harder to say what her best feature was though. The cut of the eyes of the corners of her smile.
