"My understanding is the vice president's going to provide a range of steps that we can take to reduce gun violence," said Obama. "Some of them will require legislation, some of them I can accomplish through executive action. And so I will be reviewing those today, and as I said, I will speak in more detail to what we're going to go ahead and propose later in the week.

Reloading will get a bit more populare methinks.
We bought a reloader for our son in law but having hard time getting casings, and other reloading supplies for it had to resort to using my metal locator in the back pasture where we and others shoot to scavenge up around 400 or so rounds of assorted casings.

Reloading will get a bit more popular methinks. I've never been big into reloading but I have a good inventory of equipment, powder, primers, bullets, cases, etc.

"My guess is ...
No more mil surplus ammo or or gun parts.
No more imports of ammo or gun parts.
He will do it."
Agreed. "Upscale" constituents--mostly old, white, feminist constituents--run show in the inner cities and have done so for decades. They want semi-auto AKs and ammo for semi-auto AKs to be outlawed or at least unavailable. Obama, being the star employee of the Mrs.'s house, will do as they command.

Hey Obama. If you want to save lives by taking away our guns, why don’t you save innocent kids by closing Planned Parenthood?

I dont think he can stop the manufacturer of AR-15s, etc. He could also withhold federal funding to those states currently allowing magazine sizes greater than 10 rounds.Withhold federal funding for what? About the only good that came out of the SCOTUS Obamacare ruling is that there must be a nexus between the federal funds withheld and the reason for withholding the funds.

Thank goodness he didn’t sign legislation that would allow him to monitor phone calls made to known terrorists on foriegn soil! That would have made him a FASCIST!
Whew, we can thank goodness he is only over riding the congressional branch with dictatorial actions! He won, that means his is not a Fascist!

The problem with reloading is they will just go after that too with taxes and regulations. Then they will start busting people for hoarding, it’s already occurred in Fairbanks. Most reloaders I know have a bunch of powder, primers, and bullets they bought before they went sky high in price. Big Ears would call those supplies hoarding. Boy do we ever need political change in this country.

Rush Limbaugh reported about 1/2 hour ago that WalMart has stopped ALL orders for ammunition until obam decides what to do about banning guns. I have burned up every office from corporate to local. I have been a Sam's Club member since early on and I also shop WalMart every week... but I will NEVER set foot in another store as long as I live!

I can’t think of anything Obama can do through executive action that an individual state is bound to obey.

How do you think the Federal Government has infested our local schools so pervasively? It was done by ‘guidelines,’ then rules, and finally regulations tacked on to monies ‘given’ to each district. If you don’t give your students meals, or tell us which student’s parents work for the government, or use this textbook criteria, we won’t give you these additional funds.
This permeates EVERY state’s budgets. DOTs (that got the 55MPH back when, remember?) That’s what got us ‘smog’ inspections, and on and on and on and on.
Dangle the ‘free’ money, tack on some requirement - voila, backdoor registration, confiscation....

"Reloading will get a bit more populare methinks."
Reloading supplies are also unavailable--from chatter around the Net, bought out mostly by individuals who don't use them (scalpers, SHTF-ers, all). My best advice is to limit purchases to items that will make us more self-sufficient and lower personal costs (energy, food, tools, repair manuals and so on). Learn from tech. discussion boards. Avoid vacations. Starve the B., and maybe she'll eventually shut up for lack of recirculating debt erroneously described as revenues.

Yes, but each department and the Executive branch have funds (once approved by Congress) with which they basically do what they want.
