The United Way of Western Connecticut said it rejects conspiracy theories claiming it knew about the Dec. 14 Newtown, Conn., school shooting three days in advance and leveraged that knowledge to raise money.
“It’s preposterous,” executive vice president Isabel Almeida told The Daily Caller Tuesday, dismissing what she called a “flawed” Google search result that suggests her organization issued a statement of condolence — and launched a support fund for the victims’ families — on Dec. 11.
That fund has raised more than $6 million, the group reported Jan. 4.

The story doesn’t even make any sense.
Why would a conspirator post an appeal for funds days before the attack took place? Wouldn’t those it was appealing to wonder what attack they were referencing?
Tell that to someone who hasn’t burried a child. If that guy actually lost a child, he is some sort of psychopath.
I suppose United Way may have been "testing their software" on Dec 11. [shrug] It could happen to anyone.

The group involved is the United Way of Western CT. IOW, a pretty small potatoes group, not some international group of mysterious “banksters.”
Do you seriously think this group and its no doubt less than highly paid and powerful employees were involved in planning and executing the mass murder of schoolchildren?
If not, what is your rationale for believing that those who were involved in the conspiracy would alert the UW of WCT in advance?
Occam's Razor explanation: When the media posts these pre-election results, they tend to use the numbers provided by recent polls. Elections results, oddly enough, also tend to closely correspond to the polls.
I don't know about anyone else but I'd feel pretty darn embarrassed and disgusted if someone walked up to me and handed me a check for that amount if my child had been one of the victims.
But then again, I wouldn't be standing around on my front lawn giving interviews to the press .......or participating in a public candlelight vigil either.
There are some things where common decency should take precedence, not camera whoring.......
I used to make the same argument. Then global warming busted wide open. . Now the razor is “they are lying”.
WOW! That is the little girl AFTER the shooting. Have you tried to debunk this?
Clarification. I don’t think Google or anyone else knew in advance, but the first accounts were way different than the current line. We are not being told the truth and a lot of people are in on it ..

Sorry, but the AGW and JournoList scandals support my position, not yours. They were unable to keep their secrets for long.
And there are a LOT more people who can rationalize to themselves lying about AGW or suppressing negative stories about Obama than planning or covering up the mass murder of first graders.
Completely normal, and attributable to confusion and media incompetence.

As a practice Roma steal all the copies of books that say truthful things about them and you never get to read them. Some of them are quite interesting. Guess they never hit our local library 'cause the copies are there. Friend of mine was chief librarian of the main branch of the New York City library and he checked for copies there and they didn't have any anywhere ~ nor could they borrow them.
If you want your book about Gypsies to stay on the shelves you have to tell the story about Joseph Mengele and the Little Gypsy Boy.
I'm not repeating that story today, but you can probably find it on the net.
