And why in the intro did the narrator have to say Miami was a city where Democrats and Republicans, straight and gays, among others, relocate. What does that have to do with football?
Am I missing something? That’s all he said? I glimpsed a headline about this on some other news source and I thought he must have said something really filthy or insulting.
What in the heck is the matter with people. This is just unbelievable.
Musberger sounded ok to me. Let him have some fun.
The chattering class NUST have something to chatter (or cluck) about. Otherwise they would die.

Why would you have a girl write a column about a football game? Why?
Well, the typical big media figure wouldn’t say something like this for fear his boyfriend would be hurt!
A normal guy would have to make some comment though. That’s one pretty young thing.
Just consider how many times the cameras focus in on the cheerleaders during a football game. Is that so we can appreciate the wonderful uniforms they get to wear?
I think if anyone is criticized it should be the director who kept the camera on her for about (it seemed) 10 minutes.
What was he supposed to say? Come on, get the camera off that dumb ol girl.

Some people just can’t handle another person getting the attention they secretly covet for themselves.
Geez, then keep Bill Clinton from running the camera, zooming in on the dames. Brent didnt say anything non-metrosexuals weren’t already thinking.
Is it now politically incorrect to state that a person is attractive? What the hell is wrong with that? She was Miss Alabama, winner of a beauty contest.
I clicked the link and this turned out NOT to be a satire piece.
Beam me up.
Just freaking
beam
me
up.
>> In the eyes of some, this will be worse than when Dana Jacobson cursed Jesus.
heh...
On a lighter note, while we’re on the subject of chic... er, sorry, *ladies* and the championship game: here’s an amusing piece regarding the allegience of nuns — ALABAMA nuns, that is...
Now, celebrities and such can look and comment on women in the most knowing way because they are also young or famous. For instance Hugh Hefner at eighty some is fine with marrying a girl young enough to be his great granddaughter.
At one time it was taboo for children to be aware of the opposite sex. Now it is reversed and only certain people are allowed to notice a pretty girl otherwise everybody gets "uncomfortable".
I heard that comment in full. He may have been bit effusive, but who cares. All that time when there is no action on the field has to be filled somehow.
This word sounds shockingly intolerant for the champions of tolerance. This guy had the audacity to assume heterosexuality was a normal option? How dare he! If the rump-wranglers demand we view their preference as normal, why doesn't the, uh, fabulous pump, fit the other foot as well? [facepalm]
Had to look up this “big” word from the article:
“Heteronormativity is the body of lifestyle norms that hold that people fall into distinct and complementary genders (man and woman) with natural roles in life.”
Wow I guess the broadcast WAS really offensive!
(In all fairness it was a bit creepy coming from Musberger. The gal could have been his granddaughter)
