Grassroots group forms first ever Tea Party advocacy group, including former Congressman J.D. Hayworth, conservative activists Niger Innis and Bob Adams, to push for smaller government on Capitol Hill.

The national advocacy team is made up of:

* J.D. Hayworth, National Advisor, TheTeaParty.net. Congressman J.D. Hayworth served six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he represented Arizona’s 5th and 6th districts. He challenged Senator John McCain in the 2010 GOP primary. Hayworth remains involved in conservative politics in Arizona.

* Niger Innis, National Outreach Director, TheTeaParty.net. A longtime conservative activist, Niger Innis is also the National Spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), one of the ‘Big Four’ civil rights groups in the United States. He is a frequent guest commentator for CNN, Fox News Channel and MSNBC providing insight and analysis on the day’s news events.

* Bob Adams, Capitol Hill Representative, TheTeaParty.net. Over the course of nearly two decades, Adams has served as a senior media consultant or campaign advisor to many conservative groups and candidates, including U.S. Senate candidate John Raese in 2012. He is also the founder of Revive America PAC, and the former executive director of the League of American Voters. Bob Adams began his career in conservative politics at the height of the ‘Republican Revolution” of 1994 as a press assistant to Congressman J.C. Watts, Jr.

Excellent.

Are we finally going to stand up and fight? The emboldened left is going to keep pushing. They’re not interested in coexistence, they will keep screwing us if we let them. One thing I learned from the past 2 elections is those with “Coexist” stickers on their autos are the least tolerant of all.

They don’t like us, and/or our views and appear willing to force us to knuckle under in their new America.
They may not have the stomach for a fight - if we would just give them some!

Ya, lets establish some new committees.

That’ll do the trick!

Glad to see it. In all reality, we’re not going to see another GOPer in the White House, but the conservative movement still has some influence at the Congressional and state levels.

It's awfully hard to take "Free Government Money" Hayworth seriously as any kind of TEA party advisor.

Nothing but hot air unless all on the “advocacy team” are sitting US Reps or Senators. We do not need another think tank

The nation’s largest Tea Party group announced

TheTeaParty.net is a complete fraud, invented to fundraise off the name and that is all they have done. So it is typical that the idiot J.D. Hayworth would line up to join them. TheTeaParty.net is based in AZ, as is Hayworth, and both share a love of shady moneymaking activities - Hayworth with his disgraceful "Free Governement Money" ads.

Folks, BEWARE ANY GOP FRONTED TEA PARTY GROUP.

Remember how such groups infiltrated it already and then jumped on the Romney bandwagon.

Do NOT take whatever they say at face value.

Such a "grassroots" advocacy team. /s

In 2012, Bob Adams backed a guy in WV who lost prior U.S. Senate run in '84, '06, '10 and and a gubernatorial primary in '88 too? WV clearly has no interest in electing John Raese. Any body running that often is not really "grassroots" either.

The majority of those within government will never decrease their size. They exist to grow government, not shrink it.

Life is full of the surprises of reality.

We don’t need groups. We need ONE PROMINENT CONSERVATIVE CONGRESSPERSON who is willing to stand up and repeatedly warn his/her colleagues and the country of the looming catastrophe ahead if Congress doesn’t cut taxes and spending.

This prominent person would do what Winston Churchill did in the 1930s when he repeatedly warned about the catastrophe ahead if Britain didn’t rearm to meet the looming threat of Nazi Germany. He didn’t stop speaking in the face of ridicule and opposition, and was therefore available to lead the country when his prophecies came true.

However, not a single Republican Congressperson — not even the head of the Congressional Tea Party Caucus — seems willing to assume the similar role of sounding the alarm about our overwhelming debt and the threats of bankruptcy and depression.

Until such a leader comes forward, Tea Partiers and Tea Party groups and organizations will be little more than a bunch of well-meaning but powerless people wandering around in the wilderness.

I already see pessimistic replies to this new advocacy group. This is why the left always wins. They stay united for a common goal. We, on the other hand, always fight amongst ourselves and we always end up quarreling and divided and the left pounds us as a result. We have to start somewhere and this has to be a starting point. We can’t back down to them anymore. The country is at stake.
