Maybe it was all that waiting, but when Bob Mann made his snowman, he went big. The six-metre snowman, sporting a dapper top hat, stands in the front yard of his home on Godfrey Dr., in the Huron and Highbury area. Mann planned to build the snowman last year, fashioning the top hat out of a 20-litre pail and sewing four scarves together.

The man has more creativity, more talent, and has done more work than the entire collection of congressCRITTERS that currently infest D.C.
Kudos to him.
And piles of Obamastuff to those subhuman things in D.C.

LOL- am I the only one?
I remember making snowmen with my kids you would never be able to hold their shape so perfectly circular, and the 2nd and 3rd levels (that size) would weigh hundreds of pounds.
just saying- it does not look real to me

From another article:
Creating the towering figure took a bit of engineering.
Mann said he cheated by building plywood boxes for each layer and filling them with snow.
The snow came from everywhere his yard, his neighbours yards and a bank across the street.
The squares made it easier to climb and hoist up the snow with the help of ladders and scaffolding. The square blocks were then carved out and smoothed to create the round snowman shape.

Crap... I used to build them with my kids every year when they were little. One year, we built a snowwoman and my wife took exception to how well endowed we made it and she tore it down. The next year we built a rather special snowman... not as big as the one made by this fellow but it was big. My wife decided that a slight tremor could cause it to fall over and crush some little kid and she tore it down. The year after that.........well, you get the picture that snowpeople are a sore spot in our house.

I remember a “Calvin and Hobbes” where there were a lot of menacing looking snowmen on the attack. Then again, it wasn’t just a single strip, it was a perennial winter theme.
Provokes a question, could Calvin have survived to adulthood?

Thought you were going to say: “The year after that my NEW wife let me keep the snow man.” Building snow people shows creativity, skill and engineering ability. A complete learning experience. Just sayin’.
