CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I found it astonishing. Here he is -- coming out to speak to the nation at a crucial moment -- in very delicate negotiations and he comes out there with incredible arrogance. He ridicules the Congress, he spikes the football on the Republicans. He rubs in the fact that they were resisting a raise in rates and he made them do it. And of course, as always, he places himself hovering benignly at an Olympian level above the fray, where the children are playing in the sand box and he's asking that everybody be reasonable as if he just arrived in Washington on a tourist visa.
And then he goes into detail. What he basically says, 'I'm giving the Republicans zero on spending. And I mean zero, not even discretionary spending. This is after he killed a proposal from the Minority Leader in the Senate for the tiniest of changes in entitlements, change in the cost of living index, which is essentially a technical change. So that's rejected out of hand. So he's saying tax hikes all in rates, no cuts in spending. And worse than that, after all of this is done, after I shoved all this down your throats, when we negotiate later for spending cuts -- which Republicans imagine they're going to get -- no, it's not going to happen that way.
If there are going to be any spending cuts in the future, there's going to have to be an increase -- a further increase in taxes on the rich, of course, it's always the millionaires that will balance out those spending cuts. So, he laid out a radically oppositionist position, gleefully. I think he wants to go over the cliff and dare the Republicans to take the blame.

Over the Edgeeeee!
call GOP Congressmen , tell them not to vote for this nor any deal , go over the news medias stupid cliff:
Congress switchboard number: (202) 224-3121.
Krauthammer at his BEST
But those surrender monkeys McConnell and Boner deserved insults. They are losers and nobody respects an enemy who rolls over and plays dead.
"I hope he fails." --Rush Limbaugh
This isn’t a last minute compromise. Both sides have to pretend it was a struggle so their backers will feel they got the best deal possible. Standard procedure in strikes and buy out negotiations.
He's an arrogant SOB.
He is exactly right, tax increases now, spending cuts later. And when they revisit spending cuts, he will demand further tax increases. And then the spending cuts won’t happen. I don’t know why people have found Obama so hard to understand. You can read him like a book. And that book is authored by Saul Alinsky.
Perfect! Krauthammer got a little soft on Bambi for awhile (although it may have been because like many of us, he didn't like Romney the Robot Man) and I stopped paying attention to him.
But when he's good, he's good.
I don’t want a change in the cost of living index. Social Security people hardly get a COLA as it is, and that effects my federal retirement check. It will only be one point something for 2013. Top that off with a .01 percent on my elite checking account and crappy returns on CD’s, you might as well drown people over age sixty like unwanted kittens.
If he thinks this is fun, the African communist scumbag is just going to love the next debt ceiling debate.
Obama doesn’t want a deal... he wants more taxes, and the disaster therein will also cover costs of his Obama Care debacle.
Greatest line I have seen in a while:
“You can read him like a book. And that book is authored by Saul Alinsky.”
That's actually in part 1747.1-2 of the Affordable Health Care Act.
“Krauthammer at his BEST”, which isn’t very good. This is the guy who was telling us Obama would have to move to the middle for his legacy.
It is nice that Krauthammer is finally noticing reality, but it has taken him a long time to not the obvious.
Ubama was re-elected President of the Black Democrats of the United States of America and so Im sure he feels pretty good about himself, invincible even, and thats probably why he looks and sounds like an arrogant ass. He is, after all, now a lame duck who cant run again. He figures he can issue threats and insults and act with impunity like a bully.
Well, I guess nobody clued in the African communist that his Chicago thug way of doing things just isnt going to fly with a Republican House. Nobody likes to be bullied, and apparently there are enough (maybe just enough) House Republicans with the balls to rub the dogsh** right back in the scumbags face. No deal is better than a bad deal.
Ubanga must be assured that if he wants more money confiscated from working, taxpaying, traditional American families (the Republicans base) in order to continue buying the votes of the ignorant moocher class (the Democrat base), then he first must get a Democrat House elected.
