Wow. I learned more in one place from that article than from anything from the U.S. press.
It is really sad that we have to go to the UK for decent news these days.
I don’t particularly care if teachers arm themselves.
The schools need to be defended by men who mean business.
Put the national guard in the schools.
Get marines out of Afganistan and let them guard our children.
What do you think would happen if instead of a mentally ill boy armed with his mother’s guns attacking a school, 32 trained muslim terrorists armed with -real automatic weapons-, grenades and explosives attacked a school?
I guarantee you that our enemies are watching and they are learning. Our weakness and our stupidity is being noted, and it will be used against us.

Please tell me it wasn’t because of “bullying”! If all guns were banned, these sorts of head cases would use explosives, chlorine gas, architectural sabotage. Guns are the least lethal way to kill people. Once you run out of ammo, a gun is no longer lethal. You have to aim and shoot acurately for it to work. With a shoelace or a knife and some patience, a serial killer can kill an unlimited number of people.
I don’t agree with what you said. I am sorry if you thought that my posts were in some way antagonistic. I had thought that we had some kind of agreement in our view of what is happening in this country, but it appears that I was wrong. Vade in pace.

Beware of the left developing a new set of euphemisms. It is already happening....New York Congressman, Naddler, said Obama needs to begin with changing the meaning of the language by calling the NRA as an enabler of this killer. New definitions, euphemisms will be developed to apply to otherwise lawabiding citizens who cherish their second amendment rights. They will redefine many of us as crazy.
Let me try to explain again.
Our schools, as well as our malls and our movie theaters particularly the ones with gun free zone signs on them, are being targeted by murderous cowards for mass murder because we have rendered them defenseless.
These predators want to kill as many as they can with no one to oppose them, and they know exactly where to do this.
The people whom I speak of, which include this Lanza, Holmes, the kid at the oregon mall the other day, Loughner, and a number of others in recent infamy, are AMATEURS. Look at the havoc they were able to wreak and consider their amateur status.
What I was suggesting with my other post is that our enemies, muslim terrorists, who are certainly not amateurs, are seeing this and they are learning how and where to attack us. Any such planned attack from them is going to be devastating, such as it was at Breslan.
Furthermore, they know some other things. If they do not die, we will fall all over ourselves trying not to offend them in trying them in court, and if they do die and there is no one left to punish, then we, the dumb Americans, will punish ourselves.
We are behaving like fools, like we have absolutely no idea what we are doing and why we are doing it.
We are not addressing the root cause of this problem at all, which is the scools are utterly defenseless. We are going to aggravate this problem by making everyone else defenseless.
We are killing ourselves with our own stupidity, and if our enemies decide to pile on, we are in deep, serious trouble, and when they are done with us, we will then finish the job on ourselves out of guilt.
We have serious problems as a society, trisham. We do not seem to have the capability of seeing what they are or addressing them in any effective way. I’m sorry to you for getting angry in my previous post, I really am. This subject is infuritating to me, and I should not have taken it out on you. Please forgive me.

He coolly asks for a check for Christmas, so he can buy a better device with which to tune out the real world. And no, his family doesn’t observe any faith. They’re proud, secular, humanists. Probably a lot like Adam Lanza’s parents. These kids are out there, and damn easy to spot.

I agree that blaming Conservatives for gun violence is stupid, but blaming movies is even more ridiculous.
99.97%, probably not an exact number, but close, of the guns owned by Americans will never be misused in any way.
There is a common factor in all the recent mass shootings besides access to guns. Until we find out what is driving the shooters and address it the problem will remain.
