Obama promises 'meaningful action' after Newtown school shooting (Obama's Reichstag Fire?)
Guardian UK ^

Barack Obama wiped away tears at the White House as he expressed grief over the children killed in the Connecticut massacre and promised "meaningful action" to prevent similar shooting rampages in the future.

Obama has promised to act on gun control after earlier shooting incidents but subsequently done nothing implement any changes. Over the last four years of his presidency, restrictions on guns – in particular concealed weapons – have become more relaxed and gun sales soared.

There have been five major shooting sprees since he has been president, three of them this year. This one is different because the majority of the victims in the school in Newtown are young children, but the most recent opinion polls have shown overwhelming opposition to gun restrictions.

They don’t want the gangbanger’s guns. Those guys are on THEIR SIDE! They want the weapons of those bitter clingers. This will allow Zero to turn his political opposition into criminals or cowed subjects.

Reports say the shooter was dressed in black. It is possible that he is a part of the Anarchist “Black Block” group connected with OWS? This question was asked about the theatre shooter in CO, and not answered in public.

Liberals always like to go after law-abiding gun owners in the wake of a massacre.

We have 20,000 gun control laws on the books - all of them ineffective. Someone who wanted to kill those kids wouldn’t have been stopped by ANY law.

We need to make it easier - not more difficult - for Americans to defend their families and others from the monsters in our midst.

1927 Bath Michigan School Massacre.....38 children killed.....zero guns used.

The Bath School disaster is the name given to three bombings in Bath Township, Michigan, on May 18, 1927, which killed 38 elementary school children, two teachers, four other adults and the bomber himself; at least 58 people were injured. Most of the victims were children in the second to sixth grades (7–11 years of age [1]) attending the Bath Consolidated School. Their deaths constitute the deadliest mass murder in a school in U.S. history and the third-deadliest non-military massacre in U.S. history, behind the Oklahoma City bombing, and 9/11.

I am in my early sixties. When I grew up — in California, no less! — pretty much every household (and I’m not talking about rural California) had some kind of firearm. Somehow, no one ever had the idea of taking a gun and shooting up a school, or a library, or a theater, or a shopping center...or anything other than what was legally allowable to shoot.

So, something happened between that time and the latter part of the 20th Century (say, since the 1980s). Hmmm? I wonder what that could be?

What was it? What took root? The answer is simple and obvious: Leftism (i.e., leftist liberalism).

1973, with the USSC ruling in “Roe v. Wade” really set the ball rolling (though the seeds had been sown about a decade earlier): It allowed the legal slaughter of the most innocent among us. Once a society not only allows, but encourages the slaughter of its most innocent, anything is possible and that society is doomed.

Then, with the liberal brain fart that created the Department of Education in the late 1970s, which placed all public schools under a government bureaucray (a leftist one, of course), the damage was irreparable. Because, what did that monstrosity do? It eliminated (hell, it CRIMINALIZED!) discipline in schools; it told the students that they were not responsible for anything that happened, that they were not accountable for their actions; that they could not be failed, but would be passed onto the next grade no matter what their scholastic performance; that their self-esteem trumped all.

God help us.

I knew Obama was going to use this for political gain the second he started talking at the end about how he will do whatever he can to make sure this doesn’t happen again(Gee Obama you gonna lock up the whackos now) I actually for a split second was going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, saw his tears, thought for just a second they were genuine, but at the end he couldn’t help himself and had to bring politics into it.
Your right, Obama and his minions wont touch the guns of his people, he will lose votes, he needs them..he only wants guns from Republicans, from those they hate..never mind that there are millions of law abiding citizens in this country who own guns and are not lunatics..nah, have to take their guns away because of the actions of sick pricks

Our freedom shouldn’t hinge on any events period.

Our enemies never let a crisis go to waste. It is a principle of their radical mentors and heros like Saul Alinsky.

This is going to end badly for gun owners.

Yep, I fear they will finally win with this one. Our only hope is to get out there with questions about why the Feds haven't done more to beef up security in schools. They've done plenty to beef up the union teacher's paychecks but I haven't seen any federal money going to shore up security in our schools.

Not that I'm for the Feds being in every aspect of our life but if they're going to keep spending our money, spend it on something worthwhile.

The Brown Shirt Media are reprehensible. They are covering this 24/7 but we still haven’t heard about Benghazi. They want to insure there will be another event ASAP. if they really didn’t want more of these they would just not cover it. They don’t seem to have any problem ignoring a story if it will hurt their cause.

Exactly, Manc. I would add to this
It’s not rocket science. Look at entertainment- movies, tv, comic books from the 50s & 60s & look at what it’s become- a steady stream of extreme, gratuitous
*glorified* violence. There’s huge difference between cowboys & indians, or Al Capone & the kind of trash produced, increasingly, in the past 3 decades. It’s “so cool” watching people get “blown away” & blown up.

(C)rap music & music videos are centered around violence. And then, there are video games.
Add these to absent parents, the abolition of moral guidance (replaced by indoctrination toward the opposite)/ discipline in schools, & the kind of messed up world we’re living in- what do we expect?
The last 3 shooters have been young men in their 20s.

Do we have facilities? All you need is a backhoe and a bulldozer and you can dispose of thousands of “bitter clingers” a day...

Hey Obama, if you want to do something about violence how you stop hanging out with gangsta rappers and Reverend Wright-types? How about YOU stop talking about revenge and bringing guns and “getting in their faces”?

I guess declining to condemn the union violence in Michigan days ago, won’t get mentioned in the MSM. In a couple of days he’ll probably heap praise on DJANGO UNCHAINED too.

Thanks. Nice resource.

I read what you had linked, and decided to check out my state, California. We’re at 86 of 100. Man, you’d think my state was utter perfection now.

Here’s what I found. Check out the home invasion robbery reports and information at these links.

I pretty much agree. In fact right now FoxNews is playing what sounds like a funeral march after each break. They’re helping to create an atmosphere where people jump off a cliff with bad legislation.
