NBC sportscaster Bob Costas used his weekly monologue on Sunday Night Football to discuss the fallout of the tragedy in Kansas City, urging viewers to move past the cliched coverage of the perspective gleaned from the news that linebacker Jovan Belcher killed his girlfriend and then himself Saturday morning.
Costas focused much of his monologue on a column by Fox Sports Jason Whitlock, which argued that current gun culture simply ensures that more and more domestic disputes will end in the ultimate tragedy. Costas said that although he often doesnt agree with Whitlock, he found his argument to be spot on this time.

Boy, can I relate to your tag line.
In my case, it’s been mourning rather than anger; a loved one, my nation, has been murdered by thieves.
Excellent graphic! What is the source?
If NBC had any sense we wouldn’t have to listen to this crap.

And if sports fans did not watch this leftist twit they would not have to listen to such propaganda.
I am a woman and not a sports fan, but I understand the love of the game among a lot of men, so I realize that not watching Costas would be a difficult choice.
But couldn’t there be some sort of boycott threat? Why can’t people contact sponsors?
Gun rights advocates need to fight back, or the propaganda war is just going to mushroom. They are going to treat our SA right like cigarette smoking, and they have been quite successful with the campaign. Look at how most of us now view smokers as pariahs.
He likely would have bludgeoned her to death
Gee Bob, maybe you should summon "The Gendarmes" to take away all these people that aren't like you...
What is it about liberals and why are they so totally clueless??? The 2nd Amendment is there to protect the first and ultimately to protect us from a tyrannical government.

Clueless? No, cunning.
See F15Eagle’s graphic at #36.
If we really want to make a point about Costas anti-gun blathering, we shoul all stop watching NBC and most specifically NBC sports. Theres one thing that will get NBC executives attention in a hurry and that would be thei rating going into a free fall......

Yes, and how about contacting the sponsors?
Not sure Qaddafi still belongs on this list.
Escalade into bridge abutment at 120mph...no NCIC check or waiting period required.
This little pip squeak with his whining liberal rants doesn’t fit in with a man’s game like NFL football. During a game people want to hear about football and not some whiny runt preaching about gun politics.
“Ban football outright; I dont want it used as an excuse to take away my guns.”
Plus you could imagine the positive net effect on “health care costs!” We should reallocate those medical resources to the “little guy.” ;-)
If pigs had wings they would be eagles. Completely absurd.
“If Jovan Belcher exercised some self-control, theyd still be alive. But some parts of our society want him to be the victim.”
I’d wager Bob has already been at a cocktail party pushing for Sandra Fluke to be chosen as Time’s person of the year! Lefists are morons!

Give feedback.
ESPN has been overcome by leftist-propaganda. It would be nice to go to a sports site for SPORTS! and not leftist-govt approved misinformation. Either they should have a good ‘equal-time’ retort published or have Whitlock fired.
If...
Excellent point, Norm.
Hubby and I ran into Bob Costas on the street in front of Fenway Park a few years ago (Costas is about 5 feet tall! Maybe 4 ft 10 in) after a Red Sox game.
If I ever get the opportunity to meet Costas again, I will ask him point blank if Mary Jo Kopechne would still be alive if Ted Kennedy didn't possess a car.
Unfortunately.
