I see your point. Obamacare sure isn’t the answer. We need insurance overhaul, but government owning it isn’t the way to go. Nothing they touch is ever successful, and this won’t be either.
Going back 30 years now, why do you think contractors, big and small, by the thousands, started hiring illegal aliens in the construction industry? They put hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work, drove 2012 wages into the 1980s, etc., etc.
They wanted employees who wouldn't bitch, who'd work for dirt cheap, and thought company benefits meant a 5 minute break. This is no secret.
Same reason companies like Walmart, constructions contractors etc, started using subcontractors in a big way years ago...The subcontractors hired the illegal low wage help, and fat corps like McDonald's, Walmart and construction bosses and many others would simply point the finger of blame at the subcontractors. A win win.
BTW, companies started cutting health benefits to employees, or providing near worthless benefits, en mass starting about 15+ years ago. This is nothing new, and it certainly didn't start under the current corrupt administration.
Big med and corrupt big insurance have been jacking up their their rates, which have been skyrocketing for 15+ years now. It reached a point where the average family was struggling just to maintain basic health insurance.
Blaming all this on the current government mobsters is bull chet. This crap has been going on for decades now.

Just make sure you earn cash so the gubmint’ doesn’t track that your salary can pay for it.
They did the same thing to us in Kanada where if you cannot pay for your monthly premiums, you will have to provide evidence from your monthly bank statements you cannot afford it. Here, there is no precedent to allow this to happen.
pssst here is a little known fact: Employees DO pay for workman’s comp. They pay for it in that it is absent from their checks. Lost compensation.
If people or businesses could pass on all of any additional taxes to someone else, then no one would bear the burden of taxes. Of course, no one can do that.
You all miss the point. Obama’s communist goals include ending private health insurance when it becomes too expensive because of his own policies. In 2014 we will see riots from the uninsured, making a “reluctant” Obama and Reid demand a one-payer, national healthcare system, that will be implemented on January 1, 2016. Republicans will be cast as people who want to see you die. Sell your healthcare stocks now.
This is compounded by the fact every time a claim is made, employer rates go up...And the employer turns around and cuts hours and pay to cover it. It's a vicious circle.
Employers are the few who are able to pass on expenses and costs to the consumer or employee. Of course that's why wages for the most part have been totally stagnant for over 15 years now. When employers start losing the profits they're used to, people lose their jobs, get hours cut, or take pay cuts. But this only works to a point.
This has been going on for many years now. It's why whn companies lay off dozens or hundreds or thousands, those left are expected to take up the slack, for the same pay. While the employee left in the trenches eats cheet, working harder for the same or less money, less or no benefits etc.
Paying workers comp. benefits to an injured employee does not exempt them from being sued if that is what you are implying.
They will continue to be quiet, Walmart is a giant advertiser. No one wants to be the one that Walmart stops spending their ad dollars with.
Shut up and pay your taxes.

Apples and oranges, workman’s comp covers injury or sickness CAUSED by the job, not general medical care having nothing to do with employment. It actually protects the employer who would otherwise have to come up with the money to pay damages to workers injured on the job.
Same here. We switched from Blue Cross to Cigna. Much smaller network which means that I can't find any doctors in my area - (I live 60 miles from my office) - which means I end up paying out-of-network rates for everything. And they don't cover anywhere near what Blue Cross covered. For 2013, we lose our emergency room co-pay. So no, I didn't get to keep the coverage I had like Obama promised. I can only pray that the rest of America wakes up to the nightmare that is now taking place.

If the only means of recompense for an employee who is injured on the job is to sue his employer, this puts an injured employee in the awkward position of having to sue his employer; if the employee is subsequently dismissed for whatever reason, it may put the employer in the awkward position of having to show that the dismissal was not a form of retaliation for the lawsuit.
In theory, workman's compensation avoids the conflict by creating a system where employees have no disincentive to seeking to have their injury-related costs paid, and employers are not seen as having any basis for retaliation. Such a system is not without advantages. The problem is one common to many types of insurance--its existence can alter people's behavior, and can very easily create feedback loops which can cause costs to spiral out of control especially if an insured party can profitably engage in behavior which substantially increases the likelihood of a claim, but the costs to the insurer will be sufficiently diluted among other insured parties that the profit from the behavior exceeds the portion of the costs paid by the person engaging in it.
Some of the insurance companies don't want to spend the dollars investigating them, so they just settle, and then turn around and jack up the employers rates to cover the settlements. And they wonder why the fraud is out of control.
BTW, employers routinely try and pay for their illegal workers treatment when they allegedly get injured, in an effort to stop their WC rates from going up.
I thought everyone who works less then full time do not receive health care. It seems crazy to give a person who works 30 hours health care.
And faster as well. Perfectly good workers are patched up quickly and put back on the job.
No, I don’t need an education, the fact that there are cases of fraud has nothing to do with what I said about workman’s comp. There is fraud anywhere fraud is possible, that is a separate issue.
