Romney aides blast 'hypocrites' who asked for cabinet jobs and are now trashing him
Daily Mail (UK) ^ | November 23, 2012 | Toby Harnden

Posted on 11/24/2012 9:15:02 PM PST by Lancey Howard

Former senior aides to Mitt Romney have hit back at the 'craven hypocrites' in the Republican party who just days before the election were clamouring for jobs in a Romney administration and are now belittling him.

'There were one or two well-known figures who were late committing to support him, were the most eager to curry favour when it looked like we would win and are now out there trashing the governor.

(snip)

But the other senior adviser, who declined to be named when criticising senior Republicans, singled out Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Newt Gingrich as among those who had been quickest to lambast Romney. After Romney told donors on a post-election conference call that many voted for President Obama because he had offered them 'gifts', Jindal said Romney's comments were 'absolutely wrong'. He said: 'We have got to stop dividing American voters. We need to go after 100 per cent of the votes, not 53 per cent - we need to go after every single vote.'

That was a reference to Romney's notorious '47 per cent' comments in which he said that proportion of voters was dependent on government and would inevitably back a Democrat.

Gingrich called the 'gifts' comments 'nuts' and 'insulting' to voters.

The anonymous adviser said: 'Bobby Jindal wanted very, very much to be Vice President. He appeared publicly with Governor Romney after the 47 per cent comments, which the governor himself said were totally wrong. 'Newt Gingrich made it clear to us he wanted to be part of a Romney administration. 'Both these guys - and others - were the governor's best friend when it seemed he was on the brink of becoming our 45th President. Now they're calling him a bum. Real profiles in courage.'

Well you have your agenda to push, and pro-lifers have theirs.

You really are a creepy kind of fellow, I can see how ending opposition to abortion, became your political obsession.

Here’s a good job for Mitt. Help clean out the cesspool called the GOPe.

Advice. Obsess less about abortion, mkay.

What, are you channeling NPR or something? Mitt Romney said not one word about abortion in the campaign -- except to trash conservative candidates who took stands on the issue. He made sure that life issues were on the back burner and when forced to discuss them, he acted like he was mortally embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Obama ran ads claiming Romney would take away women's rights, including the "right" to abortion and birth control. He made abortion a centerpiece of his campaign.

And yet we're the ones obsessing?

Anyhow, good luck to you, and piece of advice, you might want to obsess on abortion less, but it probably doesn’t matter any more at this point much.

Oooops. Didn't realize I was responding to an abortobot concern troll. Please don't bother replying to me. I have nothing further to say to you.

You are wrong about Mitt Romney saying not one word.

He said a sentence, in fact.

And that sentence wasn’t what pro-lifers wanted to hear, they stayed home, and now we have Obama.

So abortion will go unchecked for four years minimum as a result of that.

And I don’t know if you are obsessing or not, Antonius. I was talking to ansel about that.

Mhmm, yeah, I’m an abortbot. I think women should be able to get abortions at fast food restaraunts in fact. Circle A even, oh I mean K.

You know, I can sort of understand why the GOP doesn’t want you in the party anymore.

We all just want to roll around in piles of dead babies and we don’t want you spoiling our fun.

Romney’s aides ought to hang their heads in shame, instead of mouthing off!

IDIOTS!

Agreed.
And Jindal and Gingrich should hang their heads in shame for mouthing off, too.

PANDERING MORONS!

Actually the pro-lifers showed up in droves, the most pro-life group in America (Evangelicals) showed up, and they voted for him at 79%, higher than McCain did with them.

Romney couldn't change the outcome of this election.

This election was won through voter fraud.

I agree with you. Romney’s 47% remark was right on. Freepers do not fully realize that when the Democrats have a free and very powerful propaganda machine they can and will distort anything they choose to from any Republican candidate. If Newt had been nominated it would have been the same

That free propaganda and brainwashing machine is (of course) our major media. One way they screwed Romney/Ryan was by omission, by simply not covering their campaign appearances very much. While every time 0 or Moochelle scratches their butts or plants a vegetable garden it’s on TV

Also lets face facts. Bobby Jindal is a lightweight. With his high pitched and hesitant voice he ain’t going nowhere. He is better than a Democrat and that is about it.

RE :”Romney couldn't change the outcome of this election. This election was won through voter fraud”

Yep, he got voters to vote for him in swing states where as Romney focused on the above 50 white vote.. That is outright diabolical.

” On fighting back. During the campaign I posted HERE specifically how Romney needs to go on the attack against O many times but I got jumped by the ‘No he shouldn’t attack Obama because he is winning big now already”

Romney ran like a spoiled brat, who never fought back. NOBODY wins that way. Obama needed to be attacked relentlessly, and Obama had no way to defend his record. When you have the good fortune to be able to run against an incompetent fool, you EXPOSE the fool!!

The sad thing is, even if he had listened and was elected, he would have done much to destroy our cause.

It all reminds me of a sick joke from years ago.

A woman is abducted and staked out on the sand. The bad guy has his way with her. Hours later a cowboy rides up, and is met with her cries for help. His response...

“Well little lady (as he unbuckles his belt), this just isn’t your day is it.”

Lest anyone not get it, we’re the little lady here. Romney was riding up. Some rescue...

He didn’t hate the United States, and I believe some of his policies would have been better. On many others, his policies would have been just as bad.

I agree that Romney would have been bad, but with Obama in power, the Republicans in D.C. are scared to death of him, and Obama now knows it. This will be a disasterous 4 years.
Obama has no fear of us, and he loves Executive Orders. If our economy survives, it will be a miracle.

Obama and his thugs set everything in place to topple the economy, and rob us blind while doing it.
