Russia sent a detachment of ships of the Black Sea Fleet to the coast of the Gaza Strip in order to evacuate Russians in case of escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, a source in the main command of the RF Navy said.
"The detachment of combat ships of the Black Sea Fleet, including the Guards missile cruiser Moskva, the patrol ship Smetliviy, large landing ships Novocherkassk and Saratov, the sea tug MB-304 and the big sea tanker Ivan Bubnov, got the order to remain in the designated area of the Eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea for a possible evacuation of Russian citizens from the area of the Gaza strip in case of escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict", -the Agency's interlocutor said.

Uh, caliper? How about caliber.
Uh, caliper? How about caliber.
Nah, I’m measuring the size of their head.
Ocean going tugs can push barges loaded with all sorts of things. And not draft a lot of water.Actually a good move, and cost effective.
I keep thinking the prophecies of Isaiah regarding Damascus(Assyria/Syria/, Elam( Persia/Iran), Mitzarym( Mitzarim?,Egypt), and other nations and of course Ezekial's ominous 38/39.
The prophets truly must have seen things so hard to fathom, but thankfully they used the best words they could to grant us a picture into todays newspapers.
Just pondering strategic events that are forming a deadly noose surrounding Israel . Obama regimes timeline of clandestine regional military / monetary sponsorship to Islamic jihadis .. Nearly show time .
If the Admiral Kuznetsov or the Peter the Great show up, then I would be more worried.

“...the only thing holding Russian Wessels (LOL) together is the paint...”
They can still kill. No “lol” about that.
The only Russians in Gaza were those Gazan rocketeers who were fleeing from Israeli air strikes.
Gee, this was really a historical battle. Roaming (Roman) missiles, Gazans Russian around, Israeli fighting the Amalekites, Egyptians fooling around in the Sinai, again.
All we need now is a visit by one of the Bush’s there and we would see the following headline: “Sinai burning again due to another Bush.”
Oh how biblical it all is.
The Tug is to pull back all the ships that break down.
...in order to evacuate Russians in case of escalation...Thanks Fennie.
I don’t think that has ever happened before. Has it?
I concur! Being a “watchman on the wall” is starting to get really exciting...
seen this?
Hi Mitch, haven’t seen you around for a while. Maybe soon
we’ll meet in the clouds.

Russian Navy Slava Class Cruisers Moskva/Varyag
Quick Review by Sean Hert
These cruisers, known as Project 1164 are believed to be a “hedge bet” in case the Kirov class failed. They were laid down in 1976, and the first ship of the class, named Slava was launched in 1979 and commissioned in 1983. Slava was renamed Moskva in 2000, and was assigned to the Black Seas Fleet. Varyag was commissioned in 1989, originally named “Chervona Ukraina,” and was assigned to the Pacific Fleet. The Slava class is armed with a formidable array of weapons;
Missiles:
16 x 1 SS-N-12 “Bazalt”
8 x 8 SA-N-6
2 x 2 SA-N-4
Guns:
2 x 130mm AK-130
6 x 6 AK-630 CIWS
HULL PARTS
The hull is molded as a waterline kit with a lower hull option. The upper hull had a little flash, but the hull halves fit together nicely. The one piece deck has a small gap in the bow, but otherwise fit looks good. The modeler has the choice of full hull or waterline display. Flat waterline and full hull options are molded in red. Another nice feature is that the locator holes are not open all the way through, so you won’t have to fill them if they are not used on your ship. In fact, one of the few differences between these kits is which holes you open.
SPRUES
Sorry, my scanner wasn’t up to the task so the images are poor. The parts look good in person though! No flash to be seen. The kit’s display base seems to be a default standard for many of Trumpeter’s 1/700 kits now; it’s the same one in USS Pittsburgh for instance.
INSTRUCTIONS
A ten page instruction booklet describe the assembly in great detail with a variety of sub assembly views. These instructions are well done for each kit, with only minor differences modifying a few steps, namely the placement of some holes on the decks and a selection of radars. The instructions from Varyag are shown.
Painting & Marking Guides and Decals
The full color Paint & Marking Guides are up to Trumpeter’s excellent standards, with the standared Gunze Mr. Color references.
The decal sheet is identical in each kit; in fact, the decal sheet shows a total of 4 kit numbers, implying a Marshal Ustinov and Vilna Ukraina in the future.

Ezekiel 38:13, "Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
Sheba, Dedan and Tarshish are peoples/nations that, for the most part, either border or are in close proximity to Israel. It is said that they hope to reap the spoils of the war after Gog and Magog have destroyed Israel. Of course any serious Bible student knows that isn't going to happen but that's what some people teach.
However, I once read somewhere that these nations can also be nations that, while are not openly hostile towards Israel, were either once allies of Israel or nations that are issuing political statements condemning the invasion while doing nothing to stop it.
Note the accusatory nature of the statement, "Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? It's almost like they are saying in effect, "Hey, what do you think you're doing? You invading just so you can have the oil and gas fields, or the technology they possess, or the massive gold deposits? Back off."
These could be nations too cowardly to stand up for Israel militarily but want to, at least, save face in the opinion of the world in case the invasion goes awry.
Sound like anyone we know?
