"Israel has every right to expect that it does not have missiles fired onto its territory. If that can be accomplished without the ramping up of military activity in Gaza that's preferable," Obama said. "That's not just preferable for the people of Gaza. It's also preferable for Israelis, because if Israeli troops are in Gaza, they're much more at risk of fatalities or being wounded."

Screw you, Obama. GTFO of the way.
Bibi, IGNORE anything that emanates from this administration. They want you defeated. You have a duty to safeguard the survival of Israel.
DON`T LISTEN TO THEM!!!!!
I’m sure when Obama leaves the WH, the Israelis will hire him as a military tactics advisor.
Sounds like a threat to me. Obama will be feeding intelligence real-time to the rock chucking wild donkeys to help with rocket and artillery targeting.
Yeah, good luck with that.
The friction that zero has generated between the US and Israel is not likely to influence Bebe one way or the other.
PM Netanyahu is a smart man and he knows that zero is not on his side and hs nothing to bring to the table, so what does he hope to gain? More dead Israelis at the hands of the muslim killers?
IMO, that's a non-starter.
1) Acting like he is concerned for Israels safety, that not going in is for their own safety and good, is condescending and BS.
2) It runs exactly counter to the administrations statements earlier in the week about supporting Israels actions.
Not to mention the headline calling this an "invasion" is a misleading characterization. While calling it such may be technically correct it is nonetheless purely self defensive.
A lot of the comments at Politico are incredible, whining about the ‘poor palestinians’ and the hating Israelis. Looks like the anti-Israeli campaign continues to be successful. Disgusting.
Darned nice of el Negro.
Noun is singular masculine, so article must be singular masculine.
I agree about the being judged part!
Netanyahu wasn’t born yesterday - he’ll do what’s best for Israel.
Obamugabe can stick it.
Israel, you do what you have to do to remain safe. Ignore the clown.
Population transfer is the only way to take Gaza. Unfortunately, although ethnic cleansing is done by Muslims all of the time, it would be a well-broadcast propaganda disaster for the Israelis. I don't know how they can pull it off.

"Obama said Israel had the right to defend itself against Hamas' missile attacks from Gaza. But he urged Israel not to launch a ground assault in Gaza, saying it would put Israeli soldiers, as well as Palestinian citizens, at greater risk and hamper an already vexing peace process.
"If we see a further escalation of the situation in Gaza, the likelihood of us getting back on any kind of peace track that leads to a two-state solution is going to be pushed off way into the future," Obama said.
Given the drone war in Pakistan, and the air war against the Qudaffi (spelling is optional) regime in Libya — Obama would have no basis for criticizing Israel for doing whatever it takes in Gaza, so long as there are “no boots on the ground”.
I don’t give a rat’s ass what that white hating black muslim bastard son of a communist whore, Obama, thinks or says about this or anything else...... Israel should ignore Obama.
WHO gave the order to NOT rescue our men in Benghazi?
WHEN?
WHY?
I have heard two Israeli ambassadors and others say that Egypt will not be of aid to Hamas. Egypt and all the other Arabian countries despise the Palis. They spoke of diplomats they know well and trust who will say the words but not act.
The truth is, they want Hamas gone. I reiterate, the worst enemy in the region is Iran
If Egypt wanted Gaza, it would be Egypt. They don’t want the hell hole
Maybe he’ll stand before the tanks to stop the invasion. He can win the Rachel Corrie award.
Huh???

No doubt Iran is the major player in this, but the propaganda is thick too.
Considering one of the world’s largest Protestant Church denominations is sooooo supportive of Palestine and shows contempt for anyone that disagrees, just creeps me out.
