The cast of Good Morning America on Friday treated the bankruptcy of Hostess and the loss of 18,500 jobs as a hilarious joke. Josh Elliott, George Stephanopoulos and others guffawed as they handed out Twinkies and ate them on set.
I appreciate your help though.
I bet they won’t be laughing when TSHF, those occupy sorts were pretty crazy and there will be more angry people to add to the mob.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that crowd started dragging them out of the building. I may laugh when I see the crazy socialist animals do that.
Ahem...
They are not laughing about this. They are not joking about this. They are CELEBRATING! Another 18,000 Americans are now captives. They will receive their unemployment, food stamps and other government “assistance.” It is simply another 18,000 added to the roles of government dependants and 18,000 closer to the goal of 100% government dependency.
Wow, a song that foretold the future. How strange.
Can you explain why not? I’m serious, not being snarky.
When people are yukking it up about Hostess closing, making jokes about how much they hated twinkies anyway, they obviously aren’t even considering how much a large town employer shutting down will also affect the local economy. All those jobless people won’t be spending nearly as much money at other businesses, so they also suffer losses. This is not a laughing matter.
The union principle at work where each figure represents a workers input:
90+70+70+70=300
300/4=75
95+70+70+70+70=375
375/5=75
100+70+70+70+70+70=450
450/6=75
You’re right.
More 99ers.
I think the song was a fair description of reality in 1982 (has it really been that long?) when it was written.
The company that buys up the Hostess brands already have employees and factories. It’s unlikely they’ll need the Hostess union workers or the Hostess owned plants.
I’m still in mourning for the loss of the Domino Sugar Plant which loomed over the Brooklyn skyline for years. The grand signage is still there - darkened forever.

I must have misunderstood the original comment. I thought he was saying that NO employees were necessary. I was scratching my head over that.
We lost the Imperial Sugar plant in Texas and I believe it was the same scenario. Union strikes and the company says come back to work or we’ll have to close. Union refused to go back and they closed.
the elitist snotty nosed media will only turn on their messiah and wake up when they see their own 401k’s disappear or lose big, until them they coudln;t careless as they look at themselves as the ruling class, the elitist class which knows more about issues and life than us so called peasants
Bakery X may already have a snack product line similar to Bakery Y. Bakery X would buy all property of Bakery Y to reduce competition. Could possibly at a later date re-release some products from Bakery Y as a limited time offer.
Isn’t a linecatcher or inside worker that sort of job? I do see there are no benefit stats.

Future murderers are sad!!!
I have developed a hatred towards unions since my husband has had to work with one in NYC. The Local’s radicalization over the last few years has to be seen to be believed.
