Treason? Where did that come from? Treason is the flaunting of the US Constitution after swearing an oath to protect and defend it.
Treason is the senseless squandering of the entire wealth of a formerly free nation in pursuit of a progressive utopia that fails to realize the only wealth the government has is that which it has confiscated from the people.
Treason is the subjugation of an entire nation under unchecked bureaucracies created without mandate of the people, and preserved by ever more extra-Congressional regulations, directives and pogroms.
Treason is an executive office that is on the record as saying it will ‘go around’ the Congress to enact its illicit regulations and directives.
This petition is not treasonous. This petition is a message to the government. It is the very essence of a free people...

The Texas petition has surpassed 30,000 signatures, and has been advanced for response.
I don’t know that the administration will respond. But, they put up the site, and they put up the rules that say a petition that achieves 25,000 signatures in 30 days will warrant a response from the Executive staff.

How about we start working on getting conservatives into the Senate in 2014?
You mean, we haven't?
And they dont have to be from the GOP, the libs can get independents in there, why cant we?
But then, those independents wouldn't really be conservatives, would they? So, try to make up your mind.
Furthermore, it's likely that, those "independents" running as democrats, were never independents to begin with. Democrats will lie to you without blinking an eye. Remember that to them, it's a game of winning at any cost.

You want to tell me why an independent can’t be a conservative? There are a lot of us out here that do NOT belong to the GOP any longer.

(NOW can we have a conservative candidate?????)

I looked at the NJ one and it had signatures from different states.
Shouldn’t it just have signatures from your state of residence? Seems watered down otherwise .

no, not chicken.
smart.
Did the Jews band together in the ghettos of old Europe and voluntarily write down their names and addresses in a protest letter to the SS, stating their protests, disagreement and wish to escape?
No, that would have been dumb.

Well, maybe it should only get votes from residents on those states, but it’s not a requirement.
If the petitions would really work, I’d be all in favor of nominating NY and CA for eviction.

Well I support the message. Not exactly sure on
Articles of treason . I can’t sign due to work.
Hoping each document gets well above required signatures.
Why December 12? Can’t just accumulate over several months?

Zero’s website...Zero’s rules, I guess. The site actually pops up a little dialog box when you submit...it says that a thirty day period has started and that is the window to get 25,000 signatures to have the petition reviewed by the White Hut staff.

The website is whitehouse.gov. Something strange when the whitehouse would invite people to identify themselves to whatever the whitehouse has planned for those identify themselves. Spidy Senses and Red Flags up at this lo-cal!

Yes, it's quite possible for an "independent" to be a conservative, but...
That begs the question....
If you're a conservative, why hide behind the independent label? If you prescribe to the principles of conservatism, what do you gain by claiming to be "independent"? If you are truly a conservative, then you aren't really independent, are you?
Now, when it comes to an independent coming out to run as a democrat, that's not believable either, since, if he/she were truly independent, and could conceivably vote either way in an election, why would he or she choose to be openly declaring to run as a democrat? The independent label is mostly a farce for most people, since, they do hae feelings one way or the other, and, there is no such thing as a neutral voter. Independents will, for the most part, vote for either a republican or a democrat during elections, and the party which they vote for, hardly ever changes; thus, they are either democrats or republicans, hiding behind a label which they wish to sell as "uncommitted".

"In other words, open enrollment for the Obama Regimes Watch Lists!" and being a FReeper has not already put us on that list?

Missed your post. My apology. (imho) factual. Would add it may not be all which is planned. Lord only knows where this leads. Cannot be good though. Ask anyone alive from WWII.

I’m pretty sure if the government really wanted to make my life a living hell, there’s more than enough out there for them to do so.
All I’m suggesting is that we shouldn’t make it any easier on their part. Gift wrapping your email address and contact information for a Nixonian Enemies List doesn’t seem prudent.

I don’t get the snickering about suggesting that the administration would abuse power to punish political opponents, or that such things even happen.
Nixon did so in a very vindictive manner. Does anybody think Barry isn’t thin-skinned enough to settle some scores?
We live in the information age now, and the government has access to tons of data that was private in the 70s.
Considering how Obama talked about his second term as “revenge”, maybe us conservatives should avoid shooting our mouths off and get on their radar.

Hear what you are saying FRiend. It is too late for some of us, myself included. Radar bleeped me about the time was voting for Former President Reagan. When I look back at how much the left hated the People voting for a Man Who Loved His Country, and how much the left still hates those who love their Country, I see a time of long ago. Was not alive then, a long long time ago ... say about the time of 1776.
