Someone at FR please enlighten me. Why would the FBI EVER be "investigating" a general in the field, FAR away from the USA?
For that matter, why would Obama ask the FBI to "investigate" Benghazi?
Isn't the FBI a strictly domestic organization?
And BTW, didn't Nixon get in trouble for trying to pit the CIA vs. the FBI to cover up his crimes?
Forgive my ignorance, but Watergate was when I was a child.

Try to get this around our brains... think about it ? what would the F.B.I. have as in Intel ? that the C.I.A wouldn't ?
IF ? there was a investigation of Gen.Petraeus would not the military have jurisdiction over this and not the F.B.I. ?
Would not the C.I.A would have known about this even before the F.B.I ?

The FBI has jurisdiction on terror events on anything or anyone connected with the US.
