LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) — A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obama’s re-election.
“David” (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) told Host Kevin Wall on 100.5 KXNT that “elections have consequences” and that “at the end of the day, I need to survive.”

I work for a company that provides technology services for healthcare practices, labs and hospitals. Late Wed morning we got notice from 2 mid-size practices that they were closing down completely and today we just got another. I know there were more than a few this year who have stated that they are holding out hope for an Obama defeat so I expect quite a few more. The physicians have had enough of the cuts in medicare and tax increases, it’s just not worth it to them to work anymore. Believe it or not, the margins aren’t huge for these places, especially the family practices. So far this week it looks like around 25 physicians and somewhere around 60-70 support staff have lost their jobs and we lost the clients. As this grows larger, we will be letting some people go as well. Christmas is not going to be pleasant this year, that’s for certain.
The next time you run across some unemployed Obamaton complaining about not being able to get a job, tell him or her to ask Obama for one.

Saw a blurb yesterday on a small business, I think in Georgia, where the anonymous owner had scouted out who had Obama bumper stickers and lo and behold 8 of those people got pink slipped yesterday.
Call me a mean SOB, but it kinda warmed my heart to read that.
I let a part-timer go yesterday. He made it easy by being 10 minutes late...again. I was going to wait until after Christmas, but changed my mind following the election.

Since Tuesday night I have debated canceling my membership but it is the only thing that is keeping me sane. I will be spending very little on anything that isn't an absolute necessity.

There will be a good number of suicides in the upcomming months. Nothing like a depressing christmas with no gifts under the tree to set the stage for putting a revolver in the mouth.
