NEW YORK (WLS) - A coalition of women and nonwhites helped re-elect President Obama to a second term Tuesday night.
Obama has always performed better with women than with men, and with nonwhites than with whites. But on Tuesday night, those numbers were so much in his favor that they built Obama a powerful firewall against a dropoff in support from white men and independent voters.
Nonwhite voters turned out to vote in higher numbers than ever. They made up 21 percent of all voters. In 1996, they were just 10 percent.
That new bloc was evident in Florida, the perennial swing state that was thought to be in Mitt Romney's corner. Hispanics came out in force for Obama, in greater numbers than in 2008 when Obama beat John McCain among Hispanics in Florida 57 to 42 percent. On Tuesday, he beat Romney among Hispanics 60 to 39 percent.
And as the country tinted blue for the second presidential election in a row, it also got a little less white.

tne number of men voting in elections has been declining for years.
According to CNN, there have been 12 consecutive elections since 1964 where women outnumbered men voters.
Republican women can’t do this alone. Why aren’t the men voting?
It is a simple percentage thing, more women than men registered.
Fake War on Women by MSM.
Destruction of family unit. Reliance of single women on government. Single women vote Rat. Expect further assaults on marriage and deterioration of American family to continue. Destroy our nation one family at a time.
Dems want a steady reliable voting class of slaves dependent on big government for everything. Promising “free” birth control or phones or whatever it takes.
But it ain’t free. The bills will come due. The welfare stare will collapse.
Then we go into all out wealth confiscation most likely starting with physical gold.
Time to turn back the clock when it comes to voting rights.
Yes, I’m perfectly serious.
The establishment will look at the exit polls and conclude that the next republican nominee should be pro-choice, pro-amnesty to cut into this Dem majority. Things will likely get much worse before they get better.
Some key stats to consider:
1) whites were 74% OF VOTERS in 2008. This time, just 72% of the voters where whites.
2) Surprisingly Republican turnout was not that great.
Romney lost OH by 100K votes. PA by 250K or so. FL will be loss of about 10K more or less.
I was always given the impression by Rove, Morris, Barone, and other conservative pundits ( and even Rasmussen ) that the GOP enthusiasm was GREATER than the Democrats and turnout would be great. Not so.
3) Obama lost over 4 million votes from 2008 and STILL WON.
4) The final Rasmussen Poll had a D+2 turnout model. It looks like for each point the Dems were over D+2, one point went to Obama (if Rasmussen’s turnout model is correct ).
The numbers that Bill Bennett had on his show this morning were that Obama got 74% of the Asian vote and 69% of the Hispanic vote. That is an enormous problem for the GOP in the future. Demographics is destiny...
Which raises the question: Did Rubio reject Romney or did Romney reject Rubio?
Rubio, at least, did have a chance to deliver a state.
Portman might have.
Women, blacks and foreigners will line their death nest with the remnants of a great civilization. They can have it. Better dead than red.
The problem isn’t women so much as the problem is single women, who want the government to be there to take care of them instead of the husband they don’t have. I think Romney actually won married women but lost single women by a huge margin.
Here’s a laugh for you this morning.
Tea Party Groups Predicting a Romney Victory
Most disregard polls and say Romney will win in a landslide

Three years ago, Jim Chiodo stood in front of a couple thousand people at a tea party rally in Battle Creek, grabbed a pamphlet and used it as an impromptu bullhorn as he led the crowd in patriot songs until the tardy Tea Party Express arrived
How stupid can people be?
For 30 years, the frauds from both parties flooded the country with tens of millions of socialist foreigners and illegal aliens...While big gov public schools brain washed the youngsters.
And you’re now surprised?
America is over
it was fun while it lasted
I think, at the federal level, the majority of GOP politicians is in that same boat, but they view it more as a paternal duty to have a big federal government to protect the plantation.
but why?
A majority of voters voted for inflation, high unemployment, and jobs losses via businesses closing down. They were told and wouldnt listen. It will become evident as it happens.
“Time to turn back the clock when it comes to voting rights.”
yeah and how are you going to get women to vote to do that? Really.
Class warfare and contraception. A winning Democrat combination. The economy and national security be damned.
