From this morning's election day prayer thread:
"Heavenly Father may you forgive this nation and its people for the many awful sins that we have commited against you. We do not deserve the wonderful ways we have been blessed and please forgive us for our indifference,neglect and complacency towards you. May you forgive us who are members of your Church who have neglected our calling and commitment to you to be effective witnesses and stewards of the many blessings you have generously bestowed upon us. Many of us have cried out to you for the past few years as never before and we humbly beseech you to bring an overwhelming, crushing defeat on the forces of darkness in our nation. First we pray that you quicken your Church by your spirit and lead us to unity to stand against the onslaught of darkness upon us. May you smash every crooked deed as evil men and women try to hold onto power and may this be so convincing that everyone knows that your hand is in this. Then we may bring the light of your Gospel to our people who do not know you and to the nations of the world.
May you block and undo every policy and piece of legislation they have passed that is harmful to this nation. May you make every policy they make fail and may you turn the hearts of the multitudes against them. May you thwart every evil deed they try to divide this nation with. May you bring their own mischief upon them ten fold. May you punish those in our government who are lawless traitors and enemies of the Constitution by exposing them and deliver them into our hands for justice. However we also pray that through this that you open their eyes to the truth and in your mercy that you bring these people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to serve as a witness to many. May you also use this to bring revival across our nation and a restoration of a culture that glorifies You. We also pray for those just leaders in our government who are struggling against the lawless. We pray for your protection and that you embolden them to do what is right to triumph in the election and in the arena of ideas. May you also continue to open the hearts and minds of the American people to the the truth and draw them towards yourself to be renewed in repentance and spiritual rebirth.
And this we humbly ask in Jesus name. AMEN!"
I’m an Indianian by birth... it’s a state that has always been Republican. It doesn’t have those large left cities. It’s made up of farmland/families, basketball, a nice place to live. The schools used to be run by the local communities and those were conservatives...the same people who ran for office and ran the state. Since those years, it just hasn’t strayed as far from those roots as some other states.
Essentially half the country is still with us. Tens of millions of our enemies supporters are useless for anything other than cashing welfare checks. We are in a state of political and social civil war. The country is as divided as it was in 1776 or 1861.
We need to rally our supporters, take a good hard look in the mirror, and do whatever has to be done to save our Republic. Half of a nation can no oppress the other half unless they let them do so.
Plus they’ve been hit hard with unemployment.
Where do we turn ourselves in to the reeducation camp?
The best coverage, by far, was on The Blaze (Glenn Beck’s Network). That’s all I watch. Haven’t watched Fox since Beck started his new network. It’s 10 bucks a month and you can watch everything on demand or live. They’re adding more anchors and will eventually be 24/7. There will be no need for the MSM of any kind.

They say the eyes are the windows of the soul. Perhaps he’s afraid that if he looks one of us in the eyes, we might detect that much like the empty chair, there’s no soul there. (just a guess)

I seem to recall folks saying the same thing about Hillary and that she demanded that her staff not look her in the eyes or something like that. Guess her and Obama have that in common.

If you feel so strongly about abortion, how can you live with yourself when your action helped reelect Obama who has said doctors who allow babies from failed abortions to die should not be prosecuted for murder. I guess you are proud of yourself that such babies can be murdered without any consequences.

You are right. Rush is correct that the indies are almost always cowardly Ds. He is wrong (as we’re most of us) that this is a “ center right counter.” I think it’s clear now that by a 5-million person margin this is. LEFT WING country, and I choose the term carefully.
I disagree that we are a "Center left" country. Parts of our country are and many parts are not. Here in Kansas we became even more Red, something I did not think was possible.
I will say that, while not a cookie cutter example, the parallels to the Civil War are striking and terrifying.
I believe a new Nullification Crisis (most likely with Ubamacare) will hit during this second term of Ubama, and His inner "Andrew Jackson" of ignoring states rights will be fore front for all to see.
That is what frightens me, is what lengths the takers will go to so they can completely suck dry the producers.
And no offense, but KS is basically irrelevant. How many times did either candidate visit your state?
The nation cannot be saved by making KS redder. It must be saved by somehow regaining control of our big cities and the young.
Well if you can’t win ohio then forget about CA. There is an entrenched block that will always vote dem. It would be extremely difficult if not impossible for a conservative to win some of those states. Too much entrenched socialism and lots of brainwashed people. This would take years of re-education to overcome and liberals control education and the MSM

The choice in this election was clear. Romney will wind up with roughly the same vote tally as McCain when all the counting is done, maybe a few more or less.
Obama is going from 69 million votes to probably in the 63 range and still wins pretty handily.
