A professor at a public university recently denied Soviet Union Leader Joseph Stalin was responsible for the murder of millions, saying he has yet to find one crime one crime that Stalin committed.
I know they say he killed 20, 30, 40 million people, continued Grover Furr, a professor in Medieval English at Montclair State University.
Its bullshit.

My wife is Ukrainian. Stalin murdered millions. Starvation mostly. They boiled and ate their babies to survive.

Some of my Ukrainian friends would relish giving this clown a history lesson up close and personal.

Technically, the prof is correct.
Stalin was never brought up on any charges by any court, except that of popular opinion.
To a leftist, it’s only the technicality that counts here. The fact that he ordered the murders of tens of millions of people is irrelevant to good little commies like the prof.

Stalin made the rules daily and never violated one for that day.

When the dictator dictates that murder is legal, he can’t break the law by killing millions.

Like Hitler or Mao, Stalin could testify at his trial “I never killed anyone, I was only giving orders”.

I guess the good professor overlooked Stalin's early career as a bank and train robber for the Bolsheviks.

Yes and Hitler never killed any Jews.

I imagine most commies would say that it is a lie that millions died. They wouldn’t bother with technicalities. The big lie repeated over and over is what tyrants and their defenders do.

He’s not even a history professor. He teaches Medieval English. That’s as absurd as a linguistics professor denying that the Khmer Rouge committed any crimes.

Probably no video evidence of Hitler ever personally killing anyone either.
And he made the trains run on time.
Maybe the good professor will leap to Hitler's defense also.

Academics are often the most reactionary, rigid and ideological people I meet.
It seems a paradox, but my interaction with them has given it proof.
Its because they live in bubbles where their often ridiculous views can survive unchallenged by reality - indeed, they are even encouraged.

Socialist scumbag, George Bernard Shaw happily provided cover for murder.
I must not suggest that this has occurred all over Russia; for I saw no underfed people there; and the children were remarkably plump. And I cannot trust the reports; for I have no sooner read in The Times a letter from Mr Kerensky assuring me that in the Ukraine the starving people are eating one another, than M. Herriot, the eminent French statesman, goes to Russia and insists on visiting the Ukraine so that he may have ocular proof of the alleged cannibalism, but can find no trace of it. Still, between satiety and starvation mitigated by cannibalism there are many degrees of shortage; and it is no secret that the struggle of the Russian Government to provide more collective farms and more giant factories to provide agricultural machinery for them has to be carried on against a constant clamor from the workers for new boots and clothes, and more varied food and more of it: in short, less sacrifice of the present to the future.
He also blamed the victims of communism for forcing communists to kill.
But the most elaborate code of this sort would still have left unspecified a hundred ways in which wreckers of Communism could have sidetracked it without ever having to face the essential questions: are you pulling your weight in the social boat? are you giving more trouble than you are worth? have you earned the privilege of living in a civilized community? That is why the Russians were forced to set up an Inquisition or Star Chamber, called at first the Cheka and now the Gay Pay Oo (Ogpu), to go into these questions and "liquidate" persons who could not answer them satisfactorily
