I heard in parts of L.I., they expect power to be out for around 3 weeks.

The union power company slugs should be really proud after turning away motivated and qualified non-union crews from other states.

If Dubya was still the president, the turd polishers in the liberal “media” would be screaming that he doesn’t care that “the folks” are “suffering and dying”. With Barry, it ain’t no big deal. Under socialism, a little suffering is always good for the soul and they are just whining anyway.

And these same people will vote for “The One” again! Geesh!

And, meanwhile, power crews from other parts of the country are being turned away if they aren’t union...

Maybe the womyn of the View can offer some insight. They seemed to be so knowledgeable after Katrina.

If I had the money I would drop flyers stating how the union turned away help from other states.

This is America Right?

But, Obama flew by in a helicopter and made everything better.

I read it in the news.

These people are just complaining now.

Imagine where they would be without Obama’s strong leadership. He showed up for that cameo with Christie for a few hugs and heaps of praise and then off to the campaign. Who could ask for more?

Good thing none of those enlightened liberals didn’t have any of those dirty, smelly and polluting portable generators that spew out greenhouse gasses and use up nonrenewable fossil fuels, or any of those dangerous guns that sometimes just get up by themselves and kill people, and furthermore avoided that silly and self-destructive “hoarding” behavior so popular to right-wing militia wingnuts, who have, what is it, *months* of food and water stored within their domicile, as if they are expecting Armageddon and ensuing rapture at any instant. Nope, none of that for the enlightened sages. Not for the truly enlightened ones, anyway. Nope, only crazy right wing “survivalist” kooks waste their money on such stupid things.

What is the typical party trend for upstate NY? Even before the storm , i heard Romney was tied with 0. If they are getting pissed like this, iimagine it would add to a Romney advantage.

This will be bad for The Disaster. Anyone previously mildly inclined to vote for him may well be having second thoughts so that they will not make any special efforts to get to the polls. Those who want to vote against him won’t let a storm stop them.

This has gone on too long, and there is a lack of efficiency. If this were a Republican president, he would be skewered on CNN and all of the other rat stations just like they did with Bush.

The Traitor said to tell all those New Yorkers and New Jerseyites that they don’t mind having no power. OK? OK.

Checking in from Long Island. I still have no power (I’m writing this from my father’s kitchen table). Thankfully, we have a fireplace and have been able to cook and keep warm because of it.

I’ve seen no looting here, but a lady from my church showed up at Mass today shaking, crying and very, very frightened. She’d been on a line at the gas station for three hours when an irate man rammed her car, got out and threatened to kill her and burn down her house if she didn’t let him cut in front of her — and this is in my own very quiet neighborhood!

Meanwhile, my cousin in Staten Island is now sleeping on his couch with a shotgun in his lap because of the lawlessness he’s seen there. (Our own shotgun is also ready to go, BTW.)

Thankfully, no one I know has been hurt, but many of my friends have severely damaged homes. Most of those were from falling trees, but one had the ocean march across more than two miles of (flat) land to flood her entire first floor.

EVERY block I’ve seen has at least one large tree down, and wires are hanging everywhere. It looks like a war zone around here.

Regards,
