Theyre both in here because of exactly what youre seeing in this poll, said Jim Lee, president of Susquehanna Polling & Research, which surveyed 800 likely voters Oct. 29-31. Most of the interviews occurred after Hurricane Sandy inundated Eastern and Central Pennsylvania. The polls error margin is 3.46 percentage points.
Nearly 60 percent of people say the country is on the wrong track, and economic concerns continue to dominate. Almost half of likely voters say economic issues are the primary driver of their choice for president.
Im concerned about all the young people graduating from college, whether theyre finding jobs, said Pauline Hoxie, 84, a Republican from Jersey Shore in Lycoming County. Her grandson graduated with a degree in graphic design but works a manual labor job because he cant find openings in his field, she said.
Democrats shrugged off the Romney campaigns late play for Pennsylvania, sending emails to supporters and journalists showing past Republican presidential candidates doing the same thing. Pennsylvania hasnt given its electoral votes to the Republican candidate since 1988......"
Both Rahm and axelrod are already in heavy spin mode. Good practice for Tuesday night and Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Nov 7th, emanuel will eat his words.
He needs to be spending Saturday nights patrolling the South Side.
Think ‘ARLEN SPECTER’.........
Think ‘ARLEN SPECTER’.........
“Both Rahm and axelrod are already in heavy spin mode. Good practice for Tuesday night and Wednesday.”
Rahm already has his gig. Axelrod has been auditioning for MSNBC for the last 6 months. If not that he has bee interviewing lawyers.
Who does’t think Rahm has 1 term too
It’s tightened in Obama’s favor. This polling outfit 2 weeks ago had Romney up 49-45, now he’s tied 47-47. The momentum is with Obama in PA. Romney shouldn’t be wasting time campaigning here. He’s not going to break a 20 year trend and pull this one out, especially when he’s in the process of losing momentum.
Rahm is there for life or until the machine sends him to prison.
No one, and I mean no one knows elections politics like Barone.
The same hopeful but actually hopeless noises were coming out of the McCain campaign days before the 2008 election.
Contrast all the equivocating, tentative Democrat statements with the positive and jubilant statements coming from the Romney campaign.....the sweet smell of success is in the air!
Hoo-Yah!

I heard Barone make that prediction. Do you know how his track record is on past presidential elections?
Susquehanna - a highly respected PA pollster has already called the state for Romney.
Watch the crowd size in Bucks today - it’ll be a good measure of enthusiasm for Romney.
Philly has so far checked a GOP presidential win but PA has been trending Red for 20 years. At some point the right GOP presidential candidate will win the state.
That candidate may well be Williard Mitt Romney!
This is the time to go b*lls to the wall & it sure as heck isn't the time to go all wobbly
“There are going to be a lot of people going back to Ohio in the (final) 96 hours, multiple times.”
To vote, perhaps?
A qualified and attractive black candidate will challenge Rahm in the next Democrat primary.....my prediction.
If Romney wins and his sponsor, Obama, is gone, Emanuel will find all federal avenues of support and porkulus for the City will be gone with the wind....and there's a lot of wind in the Windy City,

I got a chance to meet him quite a few years ago.
I was standing in line waiting for him to sign one of his books, and he asked every person what state and county they were from.
He then regaled us with how the voting went in them.
When I got to him, he asked my what state I was from, I told him NJ, he asked what county, I told him Atlanti.
He smiled at me and said, "You folks got lots of work to do."
I think you are wrong about PA this time. There are a lot of things none of these polls have taken into account that are overwhelmingly in Romney’s favor, not the least of which are votes from PA Jews all over the world who would usuallyhave voted democrat. Not this year. Not for obama. Plus you have the miners union for Romney thanks to obama’s war on coal and epa overreaches with landowners and farmers here.
If we can’t flip PA from Philly this time, then Pennsylvania has stopped being a swing state.
I’ve never seen enthusiasm for a Republican candidate around here since 2000 (I’m rather young), and I really think we can pull this off.
