This is even better. Reagan 1984 landslide over Mondale. Reagan won 525 to Mondale's 13 electorial votes. Carried 49 states. Mondale only won his home state of Minnesota.

U.S. demographics have changed a lot since 1984. Bluntly put, there’s not enough white voters today for the GOP to ever duplicate Reagan’s curb stomp of Carter and then Mondale. Still, Hussein is going down.

Do you know what the popular vote percentages were in those two landslides? I have predicted a 358-180 electoral win for Romney with a 55%-45% popular vote. (I know - I am a cockeyed optimist.) I wonder if my two predictions are compatible.
