My vote doesn’t matter.
I live in Arizona. The only way Romney loses AZ is if Obie is on his way to a 57 state sweep. The only Republican to lose AZ since I turned 18 was Bob Dole, who got his ass roundly kicked all over the country.
There’s no whining, no temper tantrum, just an understanding of basic electoral math and the lack of importance of my vote in the election. My vote means a lot more to me than it ever will to any presidential candidate. So I get to do things like say “screw it, I don’t like this guy, I’m not voting for him” replete with the knowledge that it changes nothing.
If I was in a swing state you might, maybe, have a point. But even then candidates and their supporters spend less time blaming the people that don’t vote for them and more time earning their votes.
So long now. It’s been entertaining.
