It is always difficult to lose a parent, regardless of age. May God comfort the senator and family.

Funny how Dems who are desperate to win an election, seem to always have a dead or dying family member in the mix on the eve of the vote. Remember Obama’s granny?

Losing a parent is difficult no matter how old you are..I lost my Dad in 1998 to cancer so I know how it feels. My condolences to the family

My condolences to the family. That said, here comes the sympathy vote. Will the Senator make a commercial stating that nana wanted more than anything to see her granddaughter win another term?

So get out and vote for Claire because her mother died!

But what about all the unborn babies Akin wants to SAVE and Claire wants to have die?

I hope she went in peace and Claire, as well her family and friends have warm and fond memories of her.

Sorry for the elder Ms McCaskill. Eighty-four isn’t very old, but, ... well, I damn sure hope she hadn’t voted yet.

True story: the uncle of the second cousin of the fellow running for dogcatcher around here has just passed away. Why shouldn’t I start an FR thread in his memory?
