With your good example to follow, there should be a long line forming up behind you .. but breath is being consumed as normal in the meantime .. lol
Doesn’t look good does it.
Doogle, you stay safe.
Prayers up for all FReepers and relatives and friends in the path.
That picture is from Hurricane Irene.
;^)
FoxNews had a lady phone in that was in a car under this crane. She said she saw parts falling to the street. It was almost directly overhead.
Ouch.
Make a few extra pots of coffee and put them in glass jars in the fridge. Learned that from another FReeper on the Isaac thread. :)
Central PA update: Steady medium rain, winds ~20mph, power still on, sumps still working, fingers still crossed.
that picture is on Twitchy. I suspect there will be alot of fake photos from Sandy on twitter

Fox News now reporting top floors of buildings around that crane are being ordered evacuated.
Wouldn’t have to tell me once, let alone twice. ;^o
937mb isn’t close to the worldwide record (Typhoon Tip, 870 mb), Atlantic Hurricane (Wilma, 882 mb) or the record for the US; It will end up setting the record for lowest pressure in New Jersey/Delaware, and probably Maryland and Pennsylvania.
The European ECMWF model, which is generally better than American ones, consistently showed Sandy hitting the US for quite some time.
Yes, that’s true. I was addressing the regional record, where this is hitting and beyond north.

I'm not afraid because I know Obama is on top of the situation. And because the elevation of my house is 1100 feet above MSL. We get 70 mph winds here every spring. Downside of having a fantastic view to the west. I'm glad you're back, by the way.
If Sandy continues with forward speed 28mph, you can expect higher winds inland than previously forecast.
Camp May? landfall?
Jeff and Jeremy say so.
