President Barack Obama has cancelled his rally that was scheduled for Tuesday morning in Colorado Springs to monitor Hurricane Sandy, according to a White House press release.
Obama will return to Washington to continue to monitor the hurricane following a campaign event in Ohio on Monday. A campaign event that was scheduled in Northern Virginia on Monday was also cancelled because of the storm.
According to a statement made by the White House Saturday night, The President is being regularly updated on the storm and ongoing preparations, and he has directed his team to continue to bring all available resources to bear as state and local partners continue to prepare for the storm.
The press release said that FEMA has deployed teams and has pre-staged resources to potentially affected areas of the storm.
The rally that was scheduled in Colorado Springs Red Rock Canyon Open Space park on Tuesday was meant to focus on issues such as the economy and early voting, according to a campaign spokesperson.
Ping to 100! :)
He is busy printing up DEBIT CARDS for all residents of Florida, North Carolina, Virginia....whether the storm causes catastrophic damage or not. People love free stuff and will exchange a vote for it. MARK MY WORDS, the debit cards will be promised before Nov. 6.

Obamas UCF rally time rescheduled
Because of Hurricane Sandy, the presidential campaign rally scheduled for the University of Central Florida on Monday featuring President Barack Obama and former president Bill Clinton has been pushed earlier a couple of hours.
The timing change will allow the president to return to Washington, D.C., ahead of the storm. Obama is postponing another event planned for Youngstown, Ohio, later Monday.
Obama and Clinton are appearing at UCFs Memory Mall. Now, doors to supporters will open at 8 a.m. Monday, and the speeches are expected to begin around 10 a.m. U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, a Democrat who is seeking re-election to a third term, also will be speaking.
O cancels his visit to UCF. Apparently the impeached one will be there.
Seekthetruth and I have decided to cancel.
I’ll save my leave for something else more worthy!
FRegards,
Dave

I was stunned! The line went around the building, across the parking lot and out into the woods! I could not even see the end of the line I asked if there were any provisions for handicapped voters... they said 'No", I would have to stand in line. That line would take a person at least 2-3 hours, and given the Constitutional Amendments, I suspect those people will stand in line for many hours.
I called the Elections office and they said my only alternative was to vote 'absentee' and there was still time to send me a ballot. I opted for that choice.
I take this as a sign that there is huge enthusiasm to vote Romney into office! Those people could not all have been jobless or retired... they were willing to spend the better part of a day to cast their ballot.
Consequently I urge Florida FReepers to plan for long lines at the polling place or try absentee ballot. While I hope what I saw indicates a Fla landslide for Romney / Ryan, we cannot afford to have any conservative votes lost.
Let's hope for the best and prepare for a fight! |:-O
Always ready for whatever happens, Bob, so I'm taking an empty chair with me on voting day!
Stay well .............................................. FRegards
Enjoyed our time there and stood with a lovely lady sign waving for Romney and others in support of local Republican candidates. We had our “Veterans For Romney” shirts on as we held our Dan Fanelli signs.:) And of course, I found a great place to park our billboard truck with a nice big sign in support of Dan!
I hope all Orange County Freepers help spread the word about Dan Fanelli....even to their Democrat friends! The present Supervisor of Elections has violated Fl statutes and it would be good for ANY Orange County voters to keep him in office! With Dan Fanelli EVERY Orange County voter can rest assured they will have fair and honest elections!
