The Navy said Saturday it is replacing the admiral in command of an aircraft carrier strike group in the Middle East, pending the outcome of an internal investigation into undisclosed allegations of inappropriate judgment.
Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette is being sent back to the USS John C. Stennis' home port at Bremerton, Wash., in what the Navy called a temporary reassignment. The Navy said he is not formally relieved of his command of the Stennis strike group but will be replaced by Rear Adm. Troy M. Shoemaker, who will assume command until the investigation is completed.
It is highly unusual for the Navy to replace a carrier strike group commander during its deployment.

Starting to remind me of the movie 'Seven Days in May' that I saw again last night.
Bump for later.

Just what I was thinking.
Either that, or there’s resistance against Zero’s possible wag-the-dog strike in the Middle East.
I’m suspicious he had a problem with his zipper.
Civilian control is fine as it has always been. But civilian OPERATIONAL control has been an unmitigated disaster.
The examples are endless. White House selection of the actual flight routes, and of when and how to turn off target decimated the B-52s in Linebacker II. It got many men killed and almost resulted in mutiny to stop the insanity.
Now almost all missions, SEALS with the Mersk Alabama crew rescue, the mission to get Osama, Blackhawk down, etc etc all have something in common. Direct instant communications and shoddy decision making coming from the White House.
While civilians should always be the authority for starting the fights. They should never be giving tactical orders to a pilot, a shooter, or a ship captain. This was the forte of Hitler as he authored one disaster after another.
Civilians who fancy themselves generals are a nightmare. This is like the police officer seeing an armed bank robbery in progress, and everyone insisting that the Mayor should be able to direct the cops aim with an earpiece and a live video feed.
Civilian control yes, civilian TACTICAL control, NO. FDR did not personally select the D-Day bombardment targets and beaches.
Has Obama located a shi’a replacement for him?
Did he threaten to ignore Obastard’s orders to stand down and allow the Benghazi attack to continue?
Things may be getting tense in the five-sided office building.
Counting on, and preparing for, all of it!
Assuming that most of the other 50% are loyal Komrades to begin with, the Political Officers (KGB in the Soviet Navy we understand) will only have to scuttle a few boats with all hands aboard when the order comes to launch on Israel.
Who knows what O is capable of ordering after Nov. 6 - no matter who comes out the “winner”.
Obama may have a hell of a deal for us;
another indefinite term for him and his Muslim Brotherhood as undisputed and absolute rulers, or nuclear holocaust and potential extinction of the human race.
Do you really think that Muslims care a diddle about the survival of our species if they can’t control it?
Think of Obama with a nuclear suicide vest, holding the red button in one hand and a Quran in the other...
Take it or leave it, World...
Nonsense! Look at how well presidential selection the only route in and out of Kosovo that F-117s could use worked out.
that second in command should have been shot on the spot.
The Obama Purge continued
“Civilian control of the military is way over rated.”
Not if you believe in our form of government. Incompetent civilian control of the military is over rated as they usually peter principle the incompetents in the military to higher positions.
No, it isn’t. We occasionally get an asshat in office and we’ll deal with that problem. You don’t go effing up the Constitution, which WORKS and HAS WORKED for over 236 years, longer than any other western governments’ forms of government because of an asshat. You get rid of the asshat.
