In an interview with a Denver TV reporter Friday, President Obama twice refused to answer questions as to whether the Americans under siege in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, were denied requests for help, saying he’s waiting for the results of investigations before making any conclusions about what went wrong.
After being asked about possible denials of requests for aid, and whether it’s fair to tell Americans that what happened is under investigation and won’t be released until after the election, the president said, “the election has nothing to do with four brave Americans getting killed and us wanting to find out exactly what happened. These are folks who served under me who I had sent to some very dangerous places. Nobody wants to find out more what happened than I do.”
President Obama told KUSA-TV’s Kyle Clarke large that “we want to make sure we get it right, particularly because I have made a commitment to the families impacted as well as to the American people, we’re going to bring those folks to justice. So, we’re going to gather all the facts, find out exactly what happened, and make sure that it doesn’t happen again but we’re also going to make sure that we bring to justice those who carried out these attacks.”

I’ve concluded my own investigation. This was a staged kidnapping attempt, created solely for political gain for O, gone terribly wrong. Why else would the whole thing be video taped by our drones? People died, Obama, Clinton, Panetta, lied. The American people cried.
Susan Rice said it was IN FACT because of a video. 5 times.
6 weeks later, Obama says he’s investigating.
Jay Carney said it was because of a video and there was no indication that it was a preplanned attack.

You're right. Nobody under him would have dared make that decision, particularly with the election less than a month away. Obama decided to cut the losses and sacrifice those in Benghazi rather than risk offending Libya or the chance of the rescue going wrong.

The election had EVERYTHING to do with the denial for help. He was afraid of a ‘Carter Iran rescue failure’ consequence for his campaign. He sacrificed four American lives for his campaign.

Odd how he stuck with the ‘Anti-Islam YouTube video’ cover story even though the planned hostage-taking backfired on him. The video narrative was going to be used to explain the motivation leading to Stevens’ kidnapping.
Jake Tapper is going to win a Pulitzer for continuing to push this. Brett Baier from Fox should get it, but the keftists on the Pulitzer committee will never let Fox have it. After the election, the liberal knives will come out and they will all cover this.
The thing is, even a failed rescue attempt is better than none, politically. It shows you tried not to leave anyone behind. People understand that in the fog of the situation, not all rescue attempts succeed. But we want the military to try.
I think this is oddly related to Obama being anti-life. He really does think some lives don’t matter as much as others, I guess. Our culture, at its gut level, does not view it that way.
