Something I don’t understand. If the Seals were using a laser to paint a target, wouldn’t that mean that some sort of air support was available?
I wouldn’t think that they would just be sitting there holding a laser on the target waiting for air support that was an hour or more away?
If I were in the field and saw a drone or two circling overhead, I would hope and pray it had a bomb or two on it and illuminate a target. They may not have known one way or the other, but simply held out hope.
