Breaking news on Benghazi: the CIA spokesman, presumably at the direction of CIA director David Petraeus, has put out this statement: "No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.
So who in the government did tell anybody not to help those in need? Someone decided not to send in military assets to help those Agency operators. Would the secretary of defense make such a decision on his own? No.
It would have been a presidential decision. There was presumably a rationale for such a decision. What was it? When and whyand based on whose counsel obtained in what meetings or conversationsdid President Obama decide against sending in military assets to help the Americans in need?

Nothing, nothing has my boiled my blood like this incident. America has always had the back of its citizens, no matter where they are or how much other blood it might cause. WE TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN!!!
I too would like to see the movie of what those Seals said to each other during the four hours before their death and their reactions when they were denied help. Also include in the movie the dad of the Seal who has bravely fought for the memory and honor of his son even as his government didn’t.
My dear God, I can’t believe this horror. What is happening to us! To our nation! I am ashamed of our American response and honestly cannot believe anyone would vote for these cowards.

I’d like to know if the general was actually threatened with lethal force. Would not be at all surprised if he was - ‘One more word, General, and you’re dead” or something like that.
Has anyone seen or heard from Gen. Hamm since he was “relieved”?
there might be some interesting movie material here if the real truth ever leaks out... and if America survives long enough to produce it.
A relative of mine, a career Army ret'd, said that Army colleagues in Virginia and DC regarded Powell as more political than military.
As such, Powell did not have a lot of respect among some in the Army - maybe a lot in the Army - I don't have a head count.
But, the sentiment of lacking respect for Powell was certainly prevalent.
George Varnum: I can be pretty naive about things but your quote is chilling and I'm beginning to see why it is so chilling.
Thanks for education.
I've seen it posted that if you post something dicey "you might as well start the coffee going" - visitors are imminent.
A funny way of saying something that really isn't funny, I guess.
“Heres to hoping youre wrong about that.”
Agreed.
What I've been trying to post to you is "Ditto, my FRiend". A full Ditto to your post.
"WE TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN!!!"
I don't think Obama and his administration have the concept of taking care of our own. They have the concept of taking care of THEIR own and THEIR own is not OUR own.
"...the dad of the Seal who has bravely fought for the memory and honor of his son even as his government didnt." I heard SEAL Woods' father on Glenn Beck's program. Mr. Woods wants to reach a point where he can forgive the cowards who deserted his son while his son was honorably giving his all for his country. He was very restrained in the interview. After he spoke, Beck said Mr. Woods was more of a man than he, Beck was. Mr. Woods is more of a person than hummingbird is and I need to take a lesson in forgiveness from him.
I DVR'D Hannity on Friday as Mr. Woods was scheduled to appear. The family of SEAL Woods had decided not to go public but Mr. Woods wanted to preserve his son's honor and to call the cowards out for who they were.
I can't watch the episode yet because I think I'll probably burst into tears.
This country owes SEAL Woods his honor but not the false respect or honor of the cowards.
I don't think they, the cowards, have proper respect or honor in them.
C-ya FRiend.

Thanks, George Varnum - I'll check it out now.
That’s fine by me.
We can have a hot cup of tea and talk about how nice it will be for everyone after The Disaster is evicted from the White House.
If you think they wouldnt have run with this story against any republican then you are deluded.
Thanks PIF.
Good job, Phil.
“
That was one of the best calls ever heard on Rushs show.”
Without a doubt.
