Anyone notice how Barry and Michelle lingered on the stage chatting with the Romney Bunch especially the little ones...as if he had to show the world he really was a nice guy.

I am not sure how much more of this Obama garbage I can listen to. Obama is terrible on substance, of course. In terms of style, during this debate he's reverted back to his non-standard jive manner of speaking, to wit:
- going to: gonna
- ought to: oughtta
- could have: culdda
- want to: wanna
Furthermore, his delivery is peppered with "ya know" and a torrent of "ahh". In contrast, Mitt Romey's measured manner of speaking conforms to American English, showing a command of the language and reveals his confidence on the substance.

Thank you for the live thread. Unfortunately I could not get on the thread because it was completely in pause or in error. Good Debate and fact checked that Romney was correct on all his points through Fox News!

Mitt closed strongly. His last two comments and his closing statement were sophisticated, focused, hopeful, definitive and business oriented. Very professional, respectful and presidential. Obama petulant and disorganized again. Also many lies. The battleship thing was a bomb. No contest.
Romney very polished and 'connected' better with the average viewer at home.

RE :”
Romney won by not losing. He was strong at the end. Obama looked bad on the split screen. The media will give the debate to Romney but its too little to late.”You might be right on that.
In fact Chris Wallace just said that Mitt's whole debate plan was to play calm and play ‘Mr Reasonable’ and that may very well work with those mushy undecideds. I am so opinionated that I cant be objective with what I saw directly watching. I have to admit it and wait for more fallout to decide.
Many on the Dem channel have been fretting that the debates allowed MR to look like a reasonable alternative and it looks like Romney took that to heart.

We have things called aircraft carriers and fighters now, We have a modern military. He delivered it well and I had to laugh, OH-OH.Point for Obama. I don't think that will be a game changer though. Also, my perspective may be different from most viewers, for example, I remember Obama's promise to eliminate weapons research, since before the 2008 election.
BTW Marines do use bayonets today, but they don't have "Corpse-men."
One thing that seems to repeat in all these debates: O gets in a long list of points and the mod moves on to the next question and R can't respond. Maybe that is just skillful debating on O's part, but he seemed to get the last word more than R.

I couldn't agree with you more. Romney won this debate, especially during the last 20 or so minutes. He took it to Obama, and called him on his lies.
I just finished listening to Chris Wallace who actually thought Obama won the last debate. He clearly said that in fact-checking Romney and Obama's statements on troop status agreement for Iraq, Romney was correct. When Obama said Romney didn't understand the today's military, that things were different now, we use fewer horses and bayonets, a Marine tweeted Fox and said they certainly do still use bayonets. Wallace commented: It may not be clear as to who doesn't know more about what goes on in the military today. In the case of Obama's claims about what Romney would have done to the auto companies. Wallace checked the facts, along with the article Romney mentioned, and again, he declared Romney's statements were fact.
