Didn’t the Don have private investigators digging into Obama’s past back during the primary, when he was pushing the birth certificate issue? The birth certificate itself is probably neutralized at this point though, from being effective in moving the polls.
He could have any kind of embarrassing/derogatory character issue. Surrogates have to be used to release negative character attacks on the opponent - the candidate and the campaign can only deliver negative attacks on policy to avoid the blowback of looking mean. I doubt that Trump is firing randomly on his own, without informally vetting the message impact with connected analysts/consultants.
It seems that the main negative character themes are lying and corruption, so possibly some major fraud or misrepresentation in Obama’s career. It would have to be slam dunk proven to gain real traction this late.
I would think that the Breitbart folks should also have some juicy video bits strategically held in reserve for the final offensive - race-baiting, America-bashing, Jew-bashing, or all three.
