Clinton: Prez Race Only Close Because 'Impatient' Americans 'Don't Understand' Economy's Improving
News Busters ^ | 10/20/12 | Noel Sheppard

The only reason the presidential race is close is because Americans are too impatient and don't understand that the economy is actually doing better than they feel it is.

So said former President Bill Clinton at an Obama campaign event in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Friday.

According to the Associated Press, Clinton told about 2,200 Obama supporters, "This shouldn't be a race. The only reason it is is because Americans are impatient on things not made before yesterday and they don't understand why the economy is not totally hunky-dory again."

In Clinton's view, despite improvement in the unemployment rate, "people don't feel it yet."

Maybe the reason "people don't feel it yet" is because millions of Americans are still unemployed or under-employed, and the headline statistics out of the Labor Department don't accurately reflect what's really going on in the nation.

Not surprisingly, Clinton didn't say that, but instead told the assembled, "Gov. Romney acts like from the minute the president took his hand off the Bible he was responsible for every lost job."

Well, that is what happens when a new captain takes over a ship, isn't it?

It was Obama himself who said if this didn’t turn around in 4 years, then this was a one-term proposition. I’m holding him to that.

Clinton is a master of words with deep meaning. With Clinton ,you need to dissect his words, because they do not mean what they first appear to mean

And, just like I have said on here before, the democRATS will support anybody or anything on their side of the fence, regardless of how much they disagree or hate them - it’s all about party power. This is the only thing the right could learn from the left. If those who were pouting about McLame actually gotten out and voted for him, we wouldn’t be in as bad of a situation.

Fortunately it's only stupid every 8 or 12 years.

Unfortunately, it't been going socialistic since FDR with the exception of an 8 year Reagan bump.

Obama’s Big Lie Campaign (Investors Business Daily):

“How else do you run on a record that includes the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression, falling incomes, low-paying jobs and little hope of a brighter future? You trot out dozens of speakers at the week’s Democratic Convention, culminating with Bill Clinton, to repeat untruths that would make George Orwell proud.”

Got it, Bill. The reason the election is too close is because the electorate is stupid.

Finally Liberals came up with a new slogan: “Vote for us, cuz ‘your’ stupid.” Not really so new.

When you’ve been at something you claimed you could do for four years and it still isn’t done, the problem isn’t a lack of patience on the part of the electorate.

Bush can then blame Clinton for everything that happened during his terms. I DO blame Clinton for 9/11 though, lock stock & barrel.

No. That rule only applies to Republicans, who are responsible for not only everything that happens from minute 1 of their tenure but the consequences of every failure (like, for instance, Bill not taking out OBL) from the previous administration.

A Democrat starts with a credit for every problem still in existence when he takes office and takes no blame for any problems not solved.

In liberal-land two rules apply: 1. People’s suffering is actually good, because the liberal can ‘care’ and because it presents an opportunity to grow the central government; and 2. Intentions are all-important; actual results are irrelevant.

God makes hypocrites out of all of us.

Smartass Clinton probably doesn’t relize the irony that the GHWB economy was improving in autumn 1992 but Clinton cunningly played “the sky is falling card” to scare voters and win 43-37%.

The economy is IMPROVING?? Tell that to the 200 Norfolk Southern employees who got laid off...

What does Obama have on you to black mail you, Bill??

I sure would like to know what Obama propmised Clinton in order to buy him.

Probably 72 Virgins, and a case of cigars.

This lying SOS must think we're beyond stupid.

Or he must be.

Both the national debt and the deficit are really unprecedented.
Does he actually think that the money fairy will make the consequences of "let's give socialism one last try" just go away?

He must be dumber than he looks.
