RUSH: People have been thinking he would do something like that sometime this month. That would appear very suspicious, timing-wise. With this guy, anything's possible, but the way I'm looking at it honestly here, Doug, I don't think he's gonna have to. In his mind, just get together with Bob Schieffer before the debate like he did Candy Crowley.
Say, "Look, when this comes up, you just go there, and we'll handle it that way." Well, folks... (interruption) No, I'm not alleging anything. I watched that debate again, and Romney goes on and says, "Mr. President, we have to get this on the record: You called it a terrorist attack the day after?" and Obama said (impression), "Proceed, Governor Romney. Just proceed." So Romney said, "Okay, we have it on record. The president of the United States said blah, blah, blah."
And then Obama points and says to Candy Crowley, "Get the transcript," and she just happens to have it!
And then she just happens to read from it. And then she just happens to say, "Mr. Romney, you're wrong. He did call it a terrorist attack." Now, I am not alleging anything, but I just want to ask you: If during any debate that you have done seen, if any of the combatants had said to the moderator, "Get the transcript," and the transcript specifically asked for was produced and read from by the moderator, what do you think reaction would be?
Now, people call here all the time. It doesn't happen much anymore, but they will challenge and I've always said, "Go get the tape. Look at the transcript." It's a generic thing people say. And this looked generic, but he did point, and he looked at Crowley and he said, "Get the transcript. Get the transcript." And she had it. Pascal: "It's much easier to believe that something that has happened can happen again."
So,a little powwow with Bob Schieffer?

Closer to the Election the more effective. Remember the 20+ GW DWI charge on Fri before the election, cost GW 5 points and created the FL fiasco. Axelrod will engineer something, what and when is key.

I think Zippy has already been trying to, but failing. I’m sure if there were any dirt on Romney, we’d have heard of it by now. The best he can do there is try to rile up his base with resentment of Romney’s wealth.
As far as the ME, it could be something in Libya or Iran. Or maybe Benghazi was the the groundwork for his October surprise blowing up in his face. He still may try something, but the 0bama team is shaken and in disarray. Zippy is so rattled he can’t even deliver his rehearsed lines at the debate properly without blowing the cover of the collusion operation.
His handlers are now between a rock and a hard place. They are stuck with him. He’s screwing up royally, but if they get on his case he’ll get rattled and do even worse. On the other hand, if they try to encourage him by telling him he’s doing well, his swelled head will get even fatter and his arrogance will cause him to make more mistakes. He is a no-win situation imploding before their eyes.

And yet again the “brave”right cowers in fear of the ll-powerful Obama. Pathetic group.
So where is the October Surprise from our side? Or is this all just going to be people fretting and hand-wringing?

You think that, for example, Romney should never say (i.e. to state the obvious. To us)that the Left has for decades has been scaring the seniors that the Republicans will take away their SoSecurity benefits, and instead continue to defend as before, and as all Pubbie candidates from the dogcatcher on up have been doing, against these accusations as if they were credible, new, and ahistorical?
Because I think that this is a way to defeat the left, to finally discredit their methods and to educate the voting dummies. Otherwise, we keep doing what we’ve always been doing and expecting different results.

Better launch any surprise soon. Lots of people have already voted, and the number is rising every day.
The American people have a surprize for 0bama. Theres a note card on it that says, “do not open until Nov 6th.”
I suspect there will be a big surprise coming for Obama, and I imagine he will be one of the few who is actually surprised by it.
Sunday afternoon would be optimal.
They need to joke about it, ask people what do they expect it to be. Keep the idea in the news that it is coming. Discredit it ahead of time. So when it comes, people will disregard it.
